"the administration was drawing up new rules to govern reporters’ behavior — and a process for booting them if those rules are broken."

These are adult men and women who need to have rules of behavior taught to them? How much farther down into ignorance can these rude adults go?

I’m still mad at Steve Bannon, but he was right:

The real opposition party is the MEDIA.

The bias in this article is simply astounding.

Read it with a barf bag at the ready.

The situation is akin to having a “sword hanging over our heads,” said New York Times chief White House correspondent Peter Baker. “It leaves this idea that they are going to be the judge of who gets to cover them based on some probably arbitrary criteria that they will be the only ones to determine.” He added, “The idea that suddenly you’re going to try to determine who is polite enough to ask the president questions is just kind of ridiculous

Well, Mr Baker, if reporters didn't act like children, there wouldn't be rules to be put in place.

I want to know why reporters didn't sue Obama who NEVER had press conferences. Kinda defeats their lame whining about access.

The solution is no more press conference. Or put another way President Trump should inform the world he will have as many as his predecessor.

These "presshole" conferences are joke and nothing comes of them but a trash Trump mini rallys.

If Gutfield can stand it, a good move would for the WH to hire Tyrus to hand out the microphones at future news conferences.

Stop the WH press briefings. Hand out a “press release” every day . POTUS is not obligated to promote they’re leftist ratings any more than being required to promote acme weed eaters..... aside a press briefing is not a presstitutes stage to dress down the POTUS with insinuations accusations and the MSM’s twist on facts .......

“..Trump and Sanders, after all, who escalated the Acosta situation after a dispute at a news conference by yanking his press pass and, to justify it, pointing to an apparently altered video of his interaction with a White House aide.”

The video of the physical altercation with the young intern, when Acosta wouldn’t give back the mic, was fake?

if journalists don’t follow them, ‘we’ll end up back in court, and we’ll win.’

Clearly the president thinks he’s still in America. The courts literally make up law as needed and Trump thinks he’ll win. THAT’S a bit troubling.

The Manchurian judge should be impeached, convicted, and thrown out of the country for his revisionist sodomy of the Constitution.

That's the way its always been, but couched in terms of assumed polite, or tolerably polite, conduct. Hostile reporters like Acosta and April Ryan are simply forcing it to be put on paper. After all, the WH doesn't have to have press conferences at all. Obama only did rarely, and then in an exceedingly controlled manner.

This isn’t about Trump and Acosta, it is about separation of power. The Judicial branch has NO AUTHORITY over an Executive branch process procedure...however now the Judicial branch has forced the Executive branch to do something. This is patently UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Trump cannot allow this to stand. (WE cannot allow the ruling to stand, it is an unconstitutional precedent).

If the reporters would stop with the “Gotcha” questions and stop Grandstanding, press conferences would be more informative but they hate President Trump and his administration so the war will continue. If things get out-of-hand, just stop the press conference and walk away.

The courts have absolutely no say in this matter.

There is no law that requires the Executive Branch to accommodate the media on the grounds of the White House.

Not ONE.

It is a privilege built on tradition and the relationship is supposed to help both the Executive Branch and the media get their messages out.

The privilege is being abused and Trump was right to kick Acosta to the curb.

Trump needs to fire his lawyers for leading him down the litigation rabbit hole, and in the process form a new layer of extra-legal precedents that should not be.

The video was not altered. I happened to see the event in real time and thought the Secret Service would rush in and throw him out when he pushed away the woman.

Judge Kelly is wrong. A press pass is a privilege, not a right.

Just leak a draft executive order giving press access to in camera judicial conferences. If the judges can tell the executive who can and can’t get into restricted spaces, then the executive should be able to do the same to the judiciary.

And if someone can be held in Contempt of Court and Contempt of Congress, they should be able to be held in Contempt of the President.

Wrong. Now the adherence to the rules will be challenged.
The best thing to do is not play the “let’s challenge every exec decision in court to slow things down” game.

They should’ve told the court to go f themselves.

“If Acosta misbehaves—don’t call on him”

Whoever thinks that certainly has not watched various press meetings where Acosta is bellowing & interrupting other reporters. He is totally out of control.

Don’t CALL ON HIM ???

There are many video clips of him yelling out when he has NOT been called on.

Acosta needs a permanent time out.

He would be thrown off my property if not worse.
