If Trump didn’t have to walk on eggshells, he’d publicly say that nominating said black-robed tyrant was a mistake, and that the person in question can go to hell.

An “apparently altered video of his interaction with a White House aide” my hiney!!! I was watching it ‘live’ as were MANY others. No matter how many times they say it, it’s a lie.

The “new” rule is the same as the “old” rule: somebody always screws it up for everybody else and requires a rule to be written when we used to use our common sense.

Just stop having press conferences.
They are an archaic low tech way to get info out to the people.

Oh, POLITICO is too funny.
Imagine a reporter having to follow rules!

POTUS should dig out some ceremonial swords from the WH basement and hang them about the WH Press Room, just for the ambiance.

The original wording is
here:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respectingan establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press;
or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
When we look at the wording for just
'freedom of the press', this is what we get:
Congress shall make no law respecting ... or abridging the freedom .... of the press .
"Congress shall make NO law" ...
Well, that's very clear to me.
But what give Judges or Courts the right to
"MAKE LAW" about
"freedom of the press", either
"RESPECTING" or
"ABRIDGING" the right
"of the press" ?
It seems to me that the Judges and the Courts do not have any right to
"MAKE LAW" .
So, Trump should tell that Judge that he's out of line, and to enforce his unlawful ruling IF that judge
thinks he has the power to enforce anything !
The Presidency is an EQUAL Branch of the government, and the Judicial branch was created as the WEAKEST Branch of Government.

Yesterday’s ruling was simply to grant a preliminary injunction, improperly in my view, not a ruling on the merits. A ruling on the merits should come later and in a sane world the administration will win that because the reporters have no due process rights in this context. The judge in this case is a coward.

It’s ridiculous. There is no constitutional right to be invited into the White House, and no constitutional power for the courts to tell the President who he has to let in. They should appeal all the way to SCOTUS and let Justice Kavanaugh decide. But I guess it’s just easier to write up rules that we all learned in kindergarten, raise your hand and wait your turn, then let the next person have theirs.

This is Mickey Mouse theatrics. Just shut down the press briefings. Announce that the Administration is too busy cleaning out the Deep State and DC corruption in general.

By the logic of the court, how can anyone be denied a press pass?
Let anyone who wants to line up to cover a press conference. Once you’ve reched capacity, stop letting people in.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
If press person gets out of line, freeze him/her out. Don’t call on them. Move their seat to the back of the room.

Look for time and question limits as well as microphone rules. Simple.
If the press wants to flout them, the White House will leave them dangling to stew in their own juices.

Simplest solution is always the best: No more press conferences or daily updates. Twitter gives President Trump and Sarah Saunders ample opportunity to communicate with the people.
