(1) the person quoted was not the Pope. It was Gabriella Gambino, mother of five.

(2) It wasn't about Muslim women, it eas about African women. The women portrayed were not veiled Muslim women.

(3) I remain bemused that the majority of FReepers don't read the article.

I read the article. She did not distinguish between Muslim, Animist, or Christian Africans. The majority of non Christian Africans are Muslim. Christian Africans do not exhibit the same characteristics as Muslim Africans, especially pertaining to women. The Africans invading Europe are predominantly Muslim. The article described Muslim cultural feminism, not Christian and not particularly Animistic.
