When women have no vote, cannot go outside alone, must be completely covered head to foot, are absolutely subservient to their husband/father/brother, have their labia and clitoris cut off at age 12, are killed outright for embarrassing their father/husband/brother, may not speak in the presence of unrelated males, may not enter the Mosque, may not learn to read, over all are treated as a subservient species of human, they learn to express a very guarded style of femininity/motherhood.

(2) It wasn't about Muslim women, it eas about African women. The women portrayed were not veiled Muslim women.
