I've always been satisfied customer of Whole Foods as I like to eat well and I don't mind paying a premium for the food I eat. The overall quality of their food is very good. Obviously there are ripoffs and I stay away from the pretentious "artisanal" stuff as much as possible.

Honestly, if you stick to the staple items and the store brand label (365), you do pretty well there on price and it's not that much more expensive than any other supermarket for comparable items.

I do find many of the customers there to be your typical liberal type - scowling, grouchy, snooty and overall unpleasant people who seem perpetually unhappy. But I keep out of their way. The workers there are by and large always helpful and wonderful to deal with.

I’d like to put a 20-year moratorium on the words ‘artisanal’ and ‘curated’.
