4 Days And A Wake Up...
Canada Free Press ^ | November 2, 2018 | Fredy Lowe

Posted on 11/02/2018 2:22:59 PM PDT by IVAXMAN

My title is taken from old military jargon which is used, to this day, in my beloved Maine Corps to mean you are being transferred or your tour in Afghanistan will soon be up - as an example - making you a ‘short timer’.

Happily, most short timers are counting the hours, sometimes even minutes, until that ‘wake up’ day comes, as they prepare to board that plane for their flight home, home to their family, home to safety, just away from here and going home.

The difference in this upcoming wake-up-call, in just four short days, will have little to do with boarding a plane, but everything to do with our families, our safety and the survival of our country. God forbid the DemonicRats should win enough seats for a majority in the House of Representatives. Our wake up on Wednesday morning, November 7th,’ will be similar to living in our worst nightmare. Thankfully, each of you is in total control of making such a nightmare a virtual impossibility with your prayers, votes and then as many more prayers as possible. .

We must believe in our hearts that the Good Lord had a hand in bringing Donald J. Trump to us as our President to save America from drowning in a turbulent sea of evil. The Democrats are desperate. Pay no attention to their polls with the blue-wave-hysteria from the mainstream media, for He did not bring us this close to the shore to Make America Great Again only to be buried, upon our arrival, by the insufferable Nancy Pelosi, as the Speaker of the House. It will never happen. Never! ....

Sean_Anthony has already pimped his blog here. You don't need to re-pimp it.

I was in the Corps from 81 through 85.

I remember the term VERY WELL.

For us it was a countdown to discharge.

“25 and a wake-up.”
“Short timer”
“Double-digit midget”

Ahh, it brings back memories.

45 RINO’s retiring this year in the House. No surprise these scumbags are tossing aside the advantage of incumbency. One wonders what kind of golden parachute leftists slipped them under the table . The good news is that if the good guys keep the House anyways it will be a much better choice of Reps in power.

On board my sub we had the SNOB belt buckle with the sacred paint stain. SNOB stood for Shortest Nuke On Board.

You knew you were short when you could sit on a dime and swing your legs.

You were a submariner?

My first 2 years were at PNYS, Penis Y, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

What is a “sacred paint stain?”

I admire submariners; I could not spend 10 seconds in that coffin, at a depth of 1,000 feet below sea level.

A SNOB inscription on the belt buckle was engraved on the inside of the Buckle, it's only outward sign that it was ,indeed ,the one and only SNOB Belt Buckle was that Sacred Paint Stain.

The paint on the SNOB belt buckle was just some ordinary puke green paint used to paint the insulation packed around steam pipes. What made this particular stain the Holy Of Hollies was that it occurred on the one and only SNOB Belt Buckle itself! The particular SNOB (PBUH) who was wearing that Venerated Belt that fateful day is perhaps forever lost in the fog of history. It matters not for it marked the VERY LAST TIME that Man (PBUH) ever had to paint such pipes again!

When it came to pass (at last!) for me to share the honor of proudly wearing the SNOB Belt Buckle I made it a point to exit the ship in a 3 piece suit rather than Dress Blues as was the ordinary custom for a departing sailor.

The crew was doing a stores load at the time and BEHOLD! Once they saw me in my fine suit it was as if a light from Heaven was shining upon me, for I reminded them that that final day of drudgery was more than just a fervently hoped upon dream, for I had made it become a very real possibility in the flesh!

I suppose we could have made some elaborate ceremony to mark the occasion of passing of the SNOB belt Buckle from the departing SNOB to the new one , somewhat akin to the Change of Command Ceremony , but such a thing would have only drawn unwanted attention from the Command. Little doubt they would have jumped at the opportunity to snatch the SNOB belt from us had they only known of its significance.
