As the administration sends 5,200 troops to the border, the host painted GOP rhetoric as midterm election fearmongering.
The GOP-fueled hysteria over the Central American migrant caravan traveling north through Mexico is nothing more than midterm election hyperbole, Fox News host Shep Smith insisted Monday.
There is no invasion. No ones coming to get you. Theres nothing at all to worry about, he said calmly on Shepard Smith Reporting on Monday.
But tomorrow is one week before the midterm election which is what all of this all about, he added.
Smith tried to calm the public about the caravan shortly after President Donald Trump again referred to it as an invasion and U.S. officials announced that an additional 5,200 American troops will be deployed to the border by weeks end, The Washington Post reported.
This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you! Trump tweeted earlier in the day....

....shemp will end up on CNN within a year....
Make this poof go poof, Murdochs.
However, unlike most hurricanes, these invader crusades will have effects that will last for decades.
Drain the Shemp.
Shrimp Smith wants an immigrant invasion... In bed.
He is such an ass.
It looks like an invasion to me!
Fox News has recently been transitioning a little more towards telling us that New York hates the people of the U.S.A. and loves the short term pecuniary benefits of barbaric, unlawful, foreign slavery. They’re threatening our national security with their stampede to a debt collapse (balance of payments deficits in foreign trade) and positioning us for foreign military attacks.
Resist the incursions of communism and/or fascism of foreign nations. Purchase bandwidth without equipment or software services, and start new conservative media efforts now. We need new local newspapers, radio and TV stations, too. Refuse the anti-American media.
Our national security is always under threat.....it’s just we don’t see it because it’s being handled by our government...as it should and needs to do... When we do see it it’s because something has gotten out of hand one way or another....or pushed out there for us to see.
We do have an issue with political parties/entities etc inside this nation, and with them outside influences, doing a lot of their handy work they’ve always done but can no longer hide as has been for decades. The media also on board....network ownership matters.
.....”It’s a huge deal because a bunch of other ‘caravans’ will follow if this one gets through”......
They may not get through but they’re surely not letting anything stop them to date.....and from the looks of what’s growing I’d say it’s no longer about the next one...that’s already happening....... It’s like the governments there have pulled the plugs and simply draining the sink....and the people are more than happy to comply.
They won’t stay in Mexico no matter how sweet the bargain....would you? I sure wouldn’t if the goal to begin with was the USA....and no doubt now that’s exactly their reality and they’re going all the way for it.
He probably got the job there because of his “charms”. Need I say more?
Tell that to Kate Stienle -- strike that, tell her surviving family members, Shemp.
Nobody mailed Smith a package?
Tell that to Mendota, California, Shemp. They were invaded by MS-13.

What do you do when the government that you have always trusted to protect you fails? It is way-past time to de-cuck ourselves!
Sucking up all that KY has turned Shemp’s brain to mush.
Everybody who feels better now because Shep said its not an invasion and itll be ok, raise your hand. Yeah, didnt think so. Hes just auditioning for CNN.
I’ve wondered that for a long time. He blamed GW for Katrina.
