I feel like I am watching a version of the movie Wag the Dog.
In the movie it looks like an election in a few weeks is going to be lost.
A massive media campaign about a fake war in Albania is used to sway the public. The public is easily deceived by an orchestrated false narrative and the election is won.
This is almost exactly what is happening today.
The current false narrative is about fake devises that look like crude pipe bombs and are sent to leading Democrats and actor Robert DeNiro. The person identified as the "bomber" is an ex male stripper. He is bankrupt and has been living in his van. He has a history of criminal activities and an extensive arrest record.
Almost on cue the Democrats turn on a dime and stop encouraging violence. They parrot talking points claiming that Trump and his supporters are violent and that Democrats and the media are virtuous victims.

Wag the Dog was a case where - in trying to generically attack a white male Republican-looking Presidential figure - Hollywood accidentally gave away major Democrat game plans. :)

The Post Office, the place where dedicated observant professionals gather to put in a hard days work forget to cancel some stamps? No Way!
And yet if he had Bernie stickers on his crazy van and wore a Bernie hat you would completely accept the evidence.

Does it surprise me? Nope.
My only curiosity in the matter was how much evidence was produced for public consumption so quickly.
Normally none of these details, means or methods would be released during an investigation.
Any details released would be done in a way to goad the suspect into revealing himself, and maybe that is just what they did, but this guy might as well had a red neon sign and search lights on top of the MAGA Mobile declaring “I DONE IT!!”
A lunatic idiot living in a van who can't get people to pay attention to his crazy opinions and ideas decide one day to start mailing bombs so people will pay attention to him doesn't make sense?
