With the pot roast sammie, I’m thinking some caramelized onions and a little cheese. Almost like a Philly cheese steak?

You could but it’s already got the onion soup mix in it.

Might be too many onions, but everyone is different. :)

It’s always been just right(to me anyway)with some provolone cheese or even just the meat. It’s very flavorful.

I usually add extra peppers and juice and cut back on the butter if I’m using a roast with a lot of fat in it.

I used to make something resembling Phily Cheesesteak sammies out of leftover barbecued steak and chicken.

Fry up a bunch of onions, bell peppers and mushrooms and while that’s happening slice your leftover meats real thin.

When your veggies are done, ship half of them over to another pan, add chicken to one, steak to another and whatever cheese you want and heat through until the cheese is melted and the meat is hot.

Pile some on a sammich roll and dinner’s done.
