North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp raised $12.4 million during the first two-and-a-half weeks of October, a new disclosure showed, a spike in fundraising that coincided with the Democrat’s high-profile decision to vote against Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
Heitkamp’s haul in that short period was more than three times what the senator had raised during the previous fundraising quarter, when she brought in $3.7 million over three months.

Races like this demonstrate why we don’t need campaign finance reform.
Any money not spent she gets to keep. Pretty sweet con job, knew shew was toast so might as well make as much as possible for the “golden parachute”
That was my first thought, as well, that the money was not from her “constituents”. And, likely, this was all before she released the names of a bunch of sexual assault “victims”, IIRC.

These major Democratic candidates, Beto et al, are not losing for lack of money. They are well funded.
Money is very necessary but that ALONE won’t win an election. Which is a good thing.
