.....I never had anything to do with "The Kingdom" except in so far as it was an intelligence collection or analytic target of the US. I never worked in retirement for any company that did contract work for Saudi Arabia. That was a deliberate choice for me. I know the place well and it has ALWAYS been a sinkhole of medieval theocratic barbarism adorned with modern infrastructure that was constructed by foreign contract "slaves".
When I arrived in SA many years ago to be military attache in the US Embassy, I discovered that my five immediate predecessors were all retired from the US Army and working in SA for 'big bucks'. How could it be I thought that the chief US military intelligence officers who had been Counselors of the Embassy could be doing that? Simple, they had all been bought and paid for....

This is relevant to all the defenders of Saudi Arabia that seem to be coming out of the woodwork when the Khashoggi disappearance comes up.
Bookmarked
why should Americans be concerned about Khashoggi?
He’s a Saudi citizen, and a terrorist enabled by the WaPo, whose editors salivated over his anti-Israel, anti-America, anti-Saudi, pro sharia pro-bin ladin articles.
from wiki: Khashoggi and his fellow travellers believe in imposing Islamic rule by engaging in the democratic process.”[22] Khashoggi became de facto leader of the Saudi branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.[22] Crown Prince Mohammed not only rejects Wahhabism, he considers the Muslim Brotherhood the main threat to his vision
They shouldn’t be concerned about him. But they should be concerned about the way that barbaric medieval Islamic satanic Kingdom has corrupted America. There’s literally no redeeming quality in Saudi Arabia, but there is a crowd here that leaps to their defense as some sort of Ally. Would you hang out with the local MS-13 members on the Block?
I worked for the government once.
Once.
If they had Billions and Billions it would be tempting.../s
Gee. Station Chief John Brennon
I dont defend SA. I will not defend Khashoggi either. He was/is mussie brotherhood. He was soft on Erdogan
A pix on both their houses
Oops.
What you are saying about Saudi Arabia becomes obvious in the quickness of Saudi apologists and or defenders to show up in the discussions of this “Khashoggi Affair”.
The enemy of my enemy, is my friend.
Jamal Khashoggi may have had a US Green card, but he was a deeply committed enemy to our Constitution and way of life.
The Saudis did the world a favor if they did in fact dispose of his body. The way they reputedly did it, may be even more effective in deterring Muslim Brotherhood subversives, than anything since the mass death sentences handed down in Egypt.
This is how muslim societies have traditionally controlled islamist extremism.
Its a dirty, messy, mess and the notion of our military and or business people being on the take of a foreign country.
They all say Russia. Looks like its another country that’s really buying influence over ours and its a theocratic tyranny of the worst kind and its enemies are no better, but at least they don’t bribe us.
(For those who are keeping score, that's reason number 250 why George W. Bush was a terrible president.)
I read a few years back the Saudis spend 290 million year in bribes in DC. Im sorry, not bribes, just lobbying,.
Kissing what he called “the religion of peace”.
I don’t much care for the Said is but I do not give a crap about what happens to muslim brotherhood a-holes that work for the WaPo either.
People who dont like me killing people I dont care for...
How dare one post the hard and disturbing truth.
We are now supposed to cease diplomacy with Saudi Arabia? Seems somewhat convenient to many in the region seeking just that and do not have our best interest at heart.
Let them sort it out.
