They swear he's not joking. Sources who've spoken to the president about the Supreme Court say he tells them he thinks he'll have appointed four justices by the end of his first term.
"It's all about the numbers for him," one source said.
Asked how he comes to that jaw-dropping number, Trump mentions the obvious: he's already replaced Antonin Scalia with Neil Gorsuch, and there are rumors Anthony Kennedy will retire.
"Ok," one source told Trump, "so that's two. Who are the others?"
"Ginsburg," Trump replied. "What does she weigh? 60 pounds?"
"Who's the fourth?" the source asked.
"Sotomayor," Trump said, referring to the relatively recently-appointed Obama justice, whose name is rarely, if ever, mentioned in speculation about the next justice to be replaced. "Her health," Trump explained. "No good. Diabetes."
Sotomayor has opened up about her struggles with type-1 diabetes, but she's managed it successfully since childhood.
The White House and spokespeople for the Supreme Court didn't respond to requests for comment.
No wonder the left is freaking out more than usual.
He might even be underestimating it. Kagan is a fatty and Breyer is 80.
Roberts is relatively young but has health issues.
source of Sotomayor news?
It made the news
it was discussed here

I was just saying they were pretty hush-hush about it and didn’t blare it from the rooftops. If you weren’t paying attention you probably missed it.
sotomayor had shoulder surgery to repair an injury from a fall in april of this year, but her health generally is poor due to diabetes.
Maybe 5. Next is RBG seat. Then Thomas retires. If Sotomayor is a brittle diabetic she really may not last long. Thats 5. Could be 6. It would be funny as hell if by 2024 Kagan was the ONLY non Trump. Funny as hell.
I think...if Kavanaugh gets passed through and makes it....that makes two. I would suggest that Thomas will retire in the next twelve months, and I have my doubts that Ginsburg and Breyer can make it through six more years of Trump. Toss in Thomas (I think he’ll retire by summer of next year), and Sotomayor (probably by 2020, because of declining health). You might see a total of six picks if he’s there for eight years.
I will also suggest this. I think after this episode with Kavanaugh....when you see a Democratic Justice pass on or retire....Trump will likely take his time (maybe 12 to 24 months) before he selects anyone. He’ll hold the party to some intense political chatter and make gains off that.
http://www.wktv.com/content/national/470156413.html low blood sugar incident - paramedics helped her but no hospital visit. (Jan 2018)
plus shoulder surgery others mentioned (may 2018)
That is the one thing that really hasn’t been talked about and I hope it stays that way.
He got Gorsuch and the Dem’s blew their wad on him.
If he gets Kavanaugh, and there’s no reason he won’t, that’s a 5 to 4 court.
Ginsburg isn’t lasting much longer. The stress of knowing that no matter what she thinks, won’t matter, will get her. If that means she’s carried out of the building in a bag, oh well. She should have nothing to do with anything the President brings to the court, anyway. And she should have recused herself for the gay marriage case. In fact, she was required by law to do that.
That gives the President a 6-3 court, because the next pick is going to be a woman. Barrett being #1, probably. Although, I’d love to see him put Caorl Swain on that list. Black, female, Conservative who’s as sharp as a knife.
THAT, FOLKS, IS ALL SHE WROTE!!!!!! Their entire agenda, that they’ve been stacking since the 60s will slowly start circling the drain. Have him break up the 9th Circuit into 2 courts and the rest is history.
And, thrown in Breyer, at 80yrs old, knowing that he doesn’t matter anymore, may just bow out. 7-2 court.
Sotomayor bows out due to health problems....who the heck knows where we could end up.
Lanny Davis musta needed lip implants......after all his sucking-up to Hillary. Here's one of his excruciating emails to her.
If somehow Kavanaugh is rejected, I think Trump will pick a nominee that would be comfortable in the original Supreme Court and make Kavanaugh look like Souter. He’s not the kind of guy who’d say “oh, we better go with a moderate.”
“because the next pick is going to be a woman.”
I hope not we got too many on the court already, 2 is even too much. Unless the woman can stick to constitution and separate her feelings and views from decision making and just decided based on what laws already state, I don’t want any more women on the court.

I agree. If RBG goes, it's a 5-3 court. 5-3 or 6-3, what's the difference? Trump can take his time and pound the Democrats.
Thomas will retire when the President is re-elected, IMHO. He seems healthy and it would appear that he still has it all going on upstairs. But, I think he’ll retire when he knows it’s safe to do so.
But, when Kavanaugh is confirmed, President Trump will have changed the course of the history of the USA.
Pretty much, ALL, of the liberal policies that have been rammed down our throat over the last few decades, if not, going back to the 60s can be challenged and tossed.
And, the only one I want to see challenged and tossed for all eternity, BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP. Get rid of that and our immigration/refugee problems are solved.
You can say what you want and express your opinion and I have absolutely no issues with it. But, I’m wondering, do you not want anymore women? Or, do you not want anymore LIBERAL WOMEN?
Given the fact that the women on the court or radical liberals.
I think the ones identified in this article could do quite well, if given the chance.
