VIDEO: My 9/28 Weigh-In Resulting in Yet Another Month of Incredible Weight Loss

VIDEO

I have been losing weight since May 27 due to the fact that I wanted to go on the Steve Kane Radio Show (longest running radio show in Florida) Caribbean Cruise last June. However, my wife told me I weighed too much and that she was scared I could eat myself to death with all that food aboard ship. She also stated that the only way I could go on the cruise next year would be to lose a hundred pounds.

The first month of attempting to eat low carbs I only lost about 5 pounds due to the fact that my carb cravings caused me to relapse as usual, to snack on crackers and other carb snacks. However, On July 2 due to hearing a new sponsor on the Steve Kane show (BTW, Steve Kane and his co-host Brian Craig, were the FIRST radio hosts in the country to come out in full support of Trump in 2015), I went to Save A Lot Nutrition Center and asked if they sold any appetite suppressants. The recommended Crave Stop.

I began taking Crave Stop the next days and over the next 3 or 4 days I didn't notice any real diminution in my appetite. However, I noticed that I had lost my carb cravings. I thought it might be temporary but by the end of the month, and with pounds shedding off, I continued to have no carb cravings.

This lack of carb cravings meant that I could go to buffet restaurants and eat AROUND the carbs which I did at least 6 times during the summer. I went to an Argentinian buffet twice, a seafood buffet twice, a brunch buffet once, and another buffet. In addition I used some creativity to develop other methods to lose weight such as using technology. For example, when I listen to Rush or Sean on my Echo Dot, I walk for stretches of at least an hour inside my house (A/C) so I do at least 1000 steps per day. I also do the same with my audible books. I call this my no-exercise exercises since it feels more like listening to the radio or reading than exercising (i.e. not boring).

On August 17 there was a gathering of Steve Kane Show fans at Sav A Lot nutrition Center in Margate, Florida during which time there was a weigh-in for me (which is on the YouTub channel). The result was that my weight dropped from 320 pounds on May 27 to 289 pounds that day. A 31 pound loss.

The second weigh-in was also at Sav A Lot Nutrition Center on Friday, Sept. 28. It was recorded by Steve Kane Show co-host Brian Craig on Periscope as you can see here. So what was my weight loss from August 17 to September 28? Well, watch the Periscope video above but I can tell you that I lost over half the weight I need to go on the next Steve Kane Show (1400 AM WWNN Radio 6 to 9 AM EDT, available on iHeart).

Oh, and right after the weigh-in I went to a Brazilian buffet for lunch. Great meat!

I wish that show was on here instead of the lefty Bill Handel.

Congrats on your weight loss! I completely agree and I got to my best weight also by ditching the carbs. However, now, maintaining my weight. I definitely try to get in 50g or so a day of resistant starch type carbs like some seeds, starchy vegetables, etc. like Pelham said, they are essential for your immune system. Your gut biome can’t survive on proteins.

Only animal proteins and tofu satisfy me. So that is what I build each meal on. But I include the veggies and my dessert of 92% dark chocolate (which is not a sweet - it’s just a fatty antioxidant at that point, and yummy!). Seeds, a bit of oats, and inulin (a resistant starch powder) are my daily feeding of gut bugs, and sometimes roasted root veggies. When we are good to them, they are good to us, including moods and other brain functions.

Soon you will want to up your workouts because you will see body shaping making a huge difference in how you feel and look. Go slow and choose something you enjoy. It’s not for weight loss. Exercise is for strength, shape, and well being.

Can’t wait to hear your wife is ready to get the cruise tickets!

I am so happy for all the possibilities opening up for you!

Saw above thst you re already on it with good carbs so ignore what I said in my last. You are doing great!

On Atkins years ago, I started bruising easily. We do need good starches. It just doesn’t have to be a large part of our diets. Life is my buffet, using your example, and I just eat the proteins and veggies at all feeding troughs! Lol. Luckily I love to cook so I make family meals the way I want them, adding a big carb for the skinny athletic youths.

This is total BS.

If all you care about is losing weight, get ready to suffer a heart attack anyway. Or cancer for that matter.

Skinny people drop dead every day; the sooner people realise it’s a lot MORE than just getting excited about losing weight, the sooner people will rediscover health.

Just another fad to separate you from your money.

I’m fairly small framed, 5’7”, and weighed nearly 190 last year, which looks really bad on me. Also, I was pre-diabetic. Doc said to cut sugars and carbs to bare minimum, and any time I get hungry just eat a handful of low/no-salt almonds. Use a little raw honey instead of processed sugar in my coffee.

Also, I was drinking about a quart of OJ a day, which I’ve completely eliminated.

I’ve been doing that ever since, and have held my weight at 170. Only 5 lbs more than I was when I got married 30 years ago. My glucose level is well within normal range.
And it required no real sacrifice or hunger.

Now I look at pasta, potatoes, or sugary desserts and have no desire for them. But I do love those almonds.

Good luck on your goal!
