Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urged the U.S. to reconsider its abandonment of the JCPOA nuclear deal while accusing the nation of waging “economic war” with sanctions.
While speaking at the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday Rouhani warned of rulers who have “xenophobic tendencies resembling a Nazi disposition”, and claimed that “those seeking dominance and hegemony are enemies of peace and perpetrators of war.”
“We invite you to come back to the negotiating table you left. If you dislike the JCPOA because it is the legacy of your domestic political rivals then we invite you to come back to the Security Council resolution,” Rouhani said. “Do not engage in imposing sanctions…sanctions and extremism are two sides of the same coin.”

During his time speaking at the U.N. General Assembly, President Trump took a swing at Iran, calling the nation a “corrupt dictatorship.”

This actually IS interesting, IMO. Iran originally raged and said no alterations to the agreement could be made. Now they indicate willingness to negotiate. Perhaps the sanctions are already starting to bite? I’ve read reports that Iranian oil exports are expected to suffer.

Yes we are. Iran uses bombs and terrorism. Iran should pray we never use our military.
Oddly we could reduce Iran to a non functional nation with airstrikes against their ability to export oil from Kharg Island. The vast majority of their exports go from their. It is just a few square miles of mostly oil storage tanks and loading facilities for tankers. We could make it a burning inferno in a few hours work by our pilots. I think they would enjoy this.
No oil exports and zero money and the nation collapses. If such were to happen many factions in Iran would rebel and the nation would cease to exist. The Kurds are still pissed off as are some tribal factions.
You also hit the pumping stations from the interior that send the oil to Kharg Island. This is easy and cheap. If Iran has no oil revenue it will collapse. Relative to their threats to close the Straights of Hormuz they do not have this ability. The navigable waters in the straits are many miles wide. If they attempted to do do this, their navy would not exist the next morning, their Air Force would not exist, and their Army would not know what in the hell to do.
Until Iran has a functional and deliverable nuclear weapon they are of no importance. They must never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon as their leaders are Bat Sh— Crazy.
The only economic war being waged against the Iranian people is being waged by the mullahacratic dictatorship. Death to the mullahs, the mullahs must be killed, death to the dictator.
Whatever the sins of the Iranian regime, I have never heard any calls for genocide against the Jews from anybody in a responsible position in Iran. Not even Ahmadinejad. Unlike Saudi Arabia, Jews in Iran have their own synagogues and worship,
