A month or so ago, I was on my morning walk with my dog down the highway to Love's Truck Stop and McDonalds. As I rounded the stores headed back home, I said good morning to a guy on a lawn mower. He replied, "F*ck you white boy."
Flipped him the bird and kept on my walk. Moments later as I rounded the McDonalds, this guy ran up up behind me shouting he was going to pour gasoline on me and light me on fire. He had an anti-freeze container full of some liquid in his right hand and a lighter in his left hand.
I'm 70 and have two artificial knees so I couldn't run but I was backpedalling as fast as I could. I started shouting to attract attention to this guy and sure enough a small crowd was attracted.
I finally got away from him and phoned the sheriff. Two deputies showed up minutes later and arrested the guy for threatening behavior. He was high on drugs. He was also on probation, so he was going back to jail for violating his probation.
He also was an employee at the McDonalds and they fired him on the spot. The district manger contacted me later to offer me free meals for a month. I don't eat processed fast foods so I declined.
Another scary incident that happened in, of all places, Florida.
