The estimable New York Times all the news thats fit to print receives a tip and the seriousness of the allegation requires them to trip over their ideological enthusiasm:
In the process they inadvertently reveal the secret of what makes news fit to print it smears their enemies and reveals the complete news cycle: evaluate stories and uncorroborated reports for ideological impact, print those that fit the narrative, evaluate the backlash, ignore it for the length of time required to circle the Internet, retract only when absolutely necessary, preferably on page 37, and repeat daily.
Oh, and dont forget to attack Trump for complaining about all the fake news thats fit to print.
And would you mention to Hillary that Im refurbishing my residence? Shell be getting the bill
Date drape* - its a serious charge.

A group of estimable judges in WV are impeached for the cost of their drapes.
Isn’t the REAL credo of the NYT: “All the ‘news’ that ‘fits’, we print...”?
Thanks for this post. It confirms that Trump is right about “fake news”.
Nailed the fake news cycle.
Drapegate.
As told by the NY Slimes, meant to demonize the Trump administration, with Nikky Haley as the lead character, but...
The Slime’s crack team of “researchers” were caught in a lie, and pretended to have made an “honest” mistake, and have egg all over their faces, but still won’t re-release the story with the real bad characters within the story, they being Obama and his big-spending administration.
The entire staff of the nyt needs to be in jail. They deliberately lie and try to get away with it.
I rather think my TAGLINE says it a little better.
Your suggestion is also a good one.
Even CNN wouldn’t frame the drape story as the NYT did, and Jake Tapper called them out on Twitter.
The NYT is that bad.
If the generic MSM generates “fake news”, and CNN generates “very fake news”, what superlative is appropriate for a fake news outlet that even got fact-checked by CNN?
A bit shorter:
“NY Times - We print all the news that fits our views.”
FYI
The NYT knows that most readers look at the title, pictures, and maybe the first paragraph. The probability of reading further decreases as they go down. So where do they put any mention that Obama’s people ordered the curtains? Not in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th paragraphs.....
Good point.
An Editor’s Note appears at the end of an Article.
The Headline remains unchanged as does the original Story.
An above the Fold Headline Apology is out of the question.
New York Times = Funny Paper nothing real
The reason papers issue apologies and corrections has nothing to do with them feeling sorry - it has to do with pretending they're showing goodwill because that makes it LESS likely they'll be sued successfully.
Yes, and also they expect the leftist echo chamber to dutifully report their "responsible journalism."
