Time. I love Floyd.
GREAT song!
There’s a really fascinating story behind that song and how Simon and Garfunkel became an unexpected success.

Time. I love Floyd.
You gotta love his reactions.
Looking forward to our amazing future — blacpipo and wipipo together. We just need to destroy the Democrats first.
Just watched the Time video yesterday, and here it is in freeperland today. Watch the same guy listen to Great gig in the sky.
Watch this guy’s reaction to Great Gig in the Sky, upon hearing the vocal track for the very first time.
Look at the expression on his face at the 2:00 minute mark:

I made the same face 45 years ago.
Still do today.
Seems to me that if you quote Pink Floyd in the title you should give credit in the first paragraph, but maybe that’s just me.
And the lyrics to Pink Floyd’s “Time” should be given to every kid graduating from high school, and to every kid thinking about dropping out of high school.
The two lines of “Time” that always make my hair stand on end are “no one told you when to run; you missed the starting gun” and “hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.” People unable to grasp what they want in life and go for it always fill me with horror and pity. Mostly horror.
I perform that song regularly!
And the answer to the musical trivia is, of course, RESPECT by Aretha. She was not part of the Motown lineup, as she recorded for Atlantic, with Tommy Dowd as her engineer.
