For US President Donald Trump and some of his allies, the idea that there's a liberal bias in tech produces the same gut reaction as gun control and immigration.
The news website Axios reported Thursday that Trump was not about to back down in his war on Google and other firms, with one unnamed source calling it "an issue that's here to stay."
Silicon Valley seems resigned to the long fight. "There will be no fixing this," a tech executive told The New York Times.
President Donald Trump and his allies are getting ready for a long fight with America's tech giants.
That's according to the news website Axios, which says it has spoken with several of Trump's allies about his escalating attack on companies including Google and Twitter.
One source told the website that the idea these platforms contained liberal bias was getting conservatives as exercised as the gun-control debate and immigration issues.
"It's risen to the level of being an emotional or gut issue with conservatives, like guns/immigration," an unnamed Trump operative told Axios. "It's an issue that's here to stay."
Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., piled on with a similar sentiment, saying he didn't think the issue was "going away" or "changing." He added that he would support the creation of a conservative social network meant to rival Facebook....

“Trump is said to be firing up conservatives with his claims of bias in big tech....”
uh,no. we were already fired up about the obvious anti-conservative bias by big tech ... Trump just decided to use his Presidential bully pulpit to lend some leadership to we unruly mob AFTER we brought it to his attention ...
The former Bell companies and subsidiaries-now AT&T had a superior attitude, too-until they were busted-found to have created a monopoly and running afoul of some anti-trust rules-Ma Bell and her “baby Bells” were made to play by the rules- so let that happen to the tech monopoly...
^5, perfect response to that nonsense.
Agree - Amen - open up the biased search engines, the internet access, youtube and facebook like websites or...
They always get it backwards. Whats fires up conservatives up is hearing somebody acknolledge the truth of what we’ve had to deal with for many years. He is not saying anything new to us. Its only new to the bubble dwellers on the Left.
Trump is giving voice to millions of us who have seen this bias for a long time. The tech folks are doing exactly what the MSM fake media has been doing for decades, denying they are biases when it is so obvious. They are all typical Democrats, they live in an alternate reality and refuse to see what they really are, Democrat propaganda partisans. That is why they are really the enemy of the people.
Georgia IT is spread across all departments. It seems like many of them are tying to fill open slots. The opportunities are all on the internet. If an IT applicant can’t find them on the internet he isn’t qualified to fill the position.
The salary ranges are good... but not Silicon Valley good. But reliable workers, not genius, is what is looked for.
I’m not on the hiring end. But I get the impression that most applicants from outside GA.gov are non-citizens of various immigration status.
Where are the domestic applicants?
I suspect that the qualified applicants who are left are those who have been unemployed a long time and for that reason have a low credit score. Should HR screen out citizens with low credit scores? Who else? Whart else?
Facebook, Twitter and like are the modern bookburners. Different technology, same idea.
There do need to be alternatives to the Fake News Media, including social networks, so people of principle have places to go.
This goes back at least two years.

His claims? How about those tech companies’ actions? Typical news media trying to paint the victim as the assailant.
