Just a thought. Not only should there be national voter ID, But in BLUE states where child support payments go well beyond the age of 18, said "child" should not be voting at age 18 (or younger as the lib dems would have it). Voting for the "adult" would resume when until the "child" support payments officially and legally terminate.

In states such as Massachussets and New York, "child" support payments can go well beyond the age of 21, 24, etc.

In other words, if Mommy is still receiving child support payments for Junior from Daddy past the age of 18, Junior should not be allowed to vote.

Flame suit ON.

No flame, if I were King I wouldn’t let any kids vote until age 25, or an active member of the US Military.

The Federal Government should not have a roll in my elections. It is up to the states to do that. There is no provision in the constitution for that.

The Feds should have no role in the election process.

Post of the month.

Despite the fact that the left’s Campaign Finance Reform, HAVA and EAC have had the unintended consequence of benefiting the Republicans, they have also degraded the process.

The curious thing is that the left never learns from their unintended consequences.

My issue with National ID is this: I didn’t grow up in a country that maintained lists of all it’s citizens and where they live and I don’t want to live in when. I loath the data on everyone collected by the Intelligence agencies (especially NSA), and I want us to move farther away from that instead of closer.

I believe we can enforce existing laws without the Nat’l ID when we have judges who follow the rule of law.

Illegal border crossers must lose any voting rights for life.

Evidently, they never have such rights in the first place, but they should be made ineligible to vote no matter what, even if they were to get some sort of future amnesty for work permits.

We have more than 3000 Supervisors of Election in the 3000+ counties in the USA. Collectively, these 3000 counties spend millions of dollars holding elections.

Meanwhile, VISA and MASTERCARD issue hundreds of millions of credit cards. Let’s use their technology for a National voter ID card.

So continue to let Supervisors of Election verify that a person is qualified to vote and then they are issued a national voter ID card that can only be used at their precinct. If they move, they have to go to the Supervisors of Election to get a new card.

If a person attempts to vote somewhere else, they will immediately be flagged.

Government costs a lot of money and this is one way to save money and give a free national voter ID card to all who qualify and still save money.

Corrupt politicians do not want to take away their corrupt practices even if it saves money.

Isn’t there anything in the Constitution about voting for state legislatures, or something along those lines?

We know the 24th amendment bans poll taxes, and the 26th amendment sets a national voting age.

Otherwise states and localities administer elections. Elections are not directed from Washington DC, nor should they be.

Just wait till Dems get in power again then put google and facebook in charge of scrubbing voter registrations (need to get rid of all the “russian voter bots”). National ID will be awesome. /sarc

"National voter ID

Congress passed laws in the late '80's requiring a Birth Certificate for issue of Driver License.

Applying this law failed for what ever reason. Texas now is requiring a BC for issue and renewal...Voter ID.

In fact, there is no direction on how the elections for President are to be conducted. The states could determine their distribution of electoral votes by reading chicken innerds.
