Pretty sure BOTh parents have to be American citizens at time of birth.
Kamala Harris has the problem looming. Both of her parents were in the USA as students. She was born here- so she is an ‘anchor baby’—which I don’t agree with-—.
But both her parents DID NOT get their American citizenship until she was 5-6 years old. She cannot turn back the clock.
Obama got away with it. We have to be much more vigilant in the future.
There is no doubt whatsoever that Pres. Chester Arthur’s father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth.
