The Ferguson Fire in Yosemite National Park has jumped Hwy 41 in the Park. The fire is now headed toward Badger Pass Ski area, which is a fire base camp. There is only one road in and out of that area. The fire crews are now trapped and have to shelter in place. PLEASE pray for the safety of the fire crews at that location. They are in immediate danger. We have already lost two firefighters with this fire.
Prayers were said at church and by priest at mass at this morning. Sending more your way...and for cooler weather...and RAIN.
Prayers sent
Will continue
BUMP!
Prayers up. Most people never experience the terror of wildfire
Saying prayers for our firefighters.
Please keep us updated, npcw.
The f3 fire winds up by Redding were a quite scary phenomenon.
We had smoke most of the week, this morning started out pretty good, but this afternoon it returned with a vengeance. Were a bit north for those fires but I suspect thats a lot of what we are getting. Were ready to put respirators back on, Just as we had to do this past week.
FATHER GOD,
We stand upon Your Promises in Isaiah 43:2 concerning the fire fighters trapped in Yosemite National Park:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”
Cover them with Your shield of protection.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. Amen.

Will pray for sure.
Found some information from a mother of one of the firefighters that left that base camp on Wednesday. Her firefighter told her that they had a lot of clearance around their base camp and that the meadow is still full of water. Praise God, that is going to give them a fighting chance.
Psalm 91 2-6
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. . . .
Lord, cover these firefighters. Make a way for them to get out. Protect them while they are there. And save them while they are waiting. In Jesus’ Name, amen. Thank you and praises to you, dear God.
Very heavy smoke here, further down Hwy 395 from you.
The USFS link below shows that Reno is getting smoke from both the Ferguson Fire (Yosemite) and the Carr fire near Redding.

Oh dear....sending prayers......

While I certainly believe in prayer - I also believe that having a good plan is really important too! I’m guessing that a base camp would be very defensible. It’s those small crews up in the thick of the battle, the wind shifts and then it is upon them.
