Here is noted liberal Law Professor Alan Dershowitz slamming an MSNBC Panel for out-and-out “McCarthyite” behavior against anyone who stands up for the rule of Law and believes President Trump should be treated fairly under the Law.
Dershowitz said the entire panel was advocating “stretching the Law” to go after Trump, which he said is wrong no matter who it is being done to. As Dershowitz spoke, you can see the faces of host Kasie Hunt and the other guest on camera. It was like vampires being shown a Crucifix! They could not stand to hear Dershowitz pierce their anti-Trump bubble by speaking the truth about what is going on, the Witch Hunt to get Trump. . . .

The lesson they’ll probably learn from this is to avoid the likes of Dershowitz in the future. They’ve got an agenda to push.

I watched a few minutes of this and all I could think of is how full of themselves and how NERVY these two bimbos were to think they are up to challenging Dershowitz. Honestly, it was like watching teenagers argue with a wise, old principal. This will cement Dershowitz’s growing disdain for the left (I hope).
No rationality, at all, among the so-called progressive set.

Abuse of power by the State weaponizing non-partisan offices for political purposes to target political enemies in an admitted hunt for a “there” where there is none (and he was saddened to see that there wasn’t the corruption he was hunting for).
It ignored Hillary’s crimes and Democrats’ past collusion with foreign states to influence our elections.
I think this has been a rude awakening for Dershowitz, who is an old-line liberal, to see how deranged the Left has become against Trump. I had the same feeling as you watching the exchange.

Ironically, it was McCarthy who proven right about the communists in the FDR and Truman DoD, State Dept, and White House. Now, the communists are STILL claiming the republicans are lying and exaggerating .
These bubble-heads don’t stand a chance against Dershowitz, so it wasn’t up to them. You can bet their earpieces were buzzing away as producers and staffers scrambled furiously to feed them tidbits to spout, and were searching Google feverishly to respond to his points.
Porn Lawyer Avenetti had to reduce himself (if that’s possible) to insults yesterday trying to keep up with Dershowitz.
The most comical part of all of this is that these dumbasses have no concept of how bad they look.
Herr Mueller (aka: Inspector Javert) and his merry band of inquisitors (includes media), have made it plain... by his own (not unconstitutional, but anti-constitutional) “authority” that supporting President Trump is a capital felony! It’s called “Lawfare”... where political opponents are pursued as “criminals” by corrupt prosecutors (persecutors).
Makes me recall a line from “The Life and Times of Judge Bean” (Paul Newman 1972)… “Do you have anything to say before we find you guilty?”
Prof. Dershowitz, maybe the last surviving true Liberal (in the old sense of the word)... knows this and boldly states it without fear (so far?). One wonders... is a midnight raid by Mueller’s KGB soon in his future?
I use it in a literary context and refuse to call it “Orwellian” since he was writing about the horrifying behavior of Socialist in the West who were absolutely unwilling to concede any wrong on his part.
Orwell wasn’t to blame for the actions any more than it is wrong to call “it” Borking when dead Red Ted Kennedy was behind the tactic.

I suspect that Dershowitz is deeply disturbed about the radical shift in his party, and is genuinely afraid of these people. He has talked openly about getting major blowback from many of his former friends and associates on the Left.
The fountain of visceral hatred that spews from them, and their growing fondness for ignoring political and legal restraints, has him worried about the future of the Republic.
I don’t think he’s a big Trump fan, but he doesn’t want to see our political differences become criminalized, as he puts it. He knows what this can lead to.
I know, you know, we know they look bad, but to the people in their crowd they don't look bad, they look "brave". And that's the problem.
Almost as if they are becoming mindless zombies.

Uh, alan, McCarthy was right. So, wrong analogy. Maybe? ;-)
The fact that he was right isn't what matters. That they are knowingly acting like their hate filled meme of McCarty and being called on it is what is shocking to them. Dershowitz is supposed to be "One of Us" ("Freaks" reference) and is way off their "Plantation" is really a shock to them.
