With Turner, Newcomb, and Hader, they’re all from when the players were about 17. i’d bet they contain the same “racist remarks” and “homophobic slurs.” I’d bet they’re rap lyrics. But MLB will punish the players and hire the rappers they were quoting to “entertain” at a ballpark near you.

The local sports radio station was talking about social media and baseball a few months ago - before this came out. Talked about how twitter, etc. was a big thing in Basketball, and brought interest to the games, etc. with the trash talk and other crap.
I understand that bad publicity is still publicity, but I really don’t think it’s a great idea to promote this kind of crap among the players.

I know Fortune 500 companies that check a prospective employee’s social media history before hiring. Are we supposed to believe MLB did NOT do that...?

Ignore it. Quit wasting your time and money on entertainment fantasies. Get away from those who falsely pretend to be so easily offended. Try to improve your own real circumstances. Befriend your own kind. Don’t be a busybody or gossip in your real community.
There ought to be a statute of limitations for social media just as there is for crimes.
If it is more than 7 years old, it doesn’t matter unless it is an ongoing issue.
