A Nevada judge has blocked the execution of two-time killer Scott Dozier scheduled for tonight.
Pharmaceutical company Alvogen sued to stop its drug, the sedative midazolam, from being used for the execution. The company claimed that the drug was obtained by the state of Nevada illegally through subterfuge and was to be used for unapproved purposes. They also claimed that use of the drug might cause a botched execution.
