Binge watching is the way I watch most TV series anymore. I have a TiVo and record several episodes before watching any of them.

The negative with HBO and similar — Netflix, AmazonPrime, Cable networks, etc. — is they have 6 to 12 episodes per year. That makes it difficult to recall what happened in a previous year.

I started GoT late, so I binged the first couple of seasons. Netflix and AP puts the entire season online at once, instead of dribbling out episodes. AP sometimes has the first episode, but takes months to ever release the full season.

I didn’t get the bug until season 5, when I bought it on DVD from season 1 and binge-watched for a few months. Then bought the books and read it all. I want to watch it all again before the final season airs, and I will enjoy it immensely after being GoT starved for awhile.
