Wikipedia allows anyone to edit the pages. Vandals who take advantage of that freedom are doing a disservice. I'm no fan of DU, but whoever vandalized that page only has scored a temporary "victory". It will be repaired by Wikipedia backups.

Wikipedia is not a good resource for a lot of controversial and political topics because it is used in a partisan way. However, may of their articles on noncontroversial history, biography, geography, literature, and science are OK.
