As I've already said, you can post your content onto any thread. That is what we do. But starting a new thread because one has a random thought is called a "vanity" for a good reason.

No, I'm stating that any random thought you have is not as significant as the published articles we discuss here. That doesn't mean those articles are good. Much of the discussion is often pointing out what's wrong with them. It doesn't mean your thought is wrong. It's simply pointing out that having a thought about something does not mean it needs to be its own thread. You can express yourself within the discussions that are already here.
I agree that random thoughts are generally best posted as comments within existing threads, and I'll reiterate that some 'vanities' are little more than a few disjointed sentences strung together, but ~
Some members post self generated compositions that are well done, and easily the equal of anything published in the media. It's still my contention that it's not 'vain' to post a random thought, or a three thousand word essay here.
