Paycom will host its second hiring event of 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 28, at Hilton Garden Inn at 2833 Conference Drive in Edmond. Paycom is considered a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software.

Candidates attending Paycom’s hiring event can meet with the technology company’s recruiters and hiring managers and interview on-site for more than 100 open positions in the departments of client services, new client setup, benefits administration and more. All roles offer enhanced compensation packages and are located at the Oklahoma City corporate headquarters at Rockwell and Memorial Road.

Requirements for most available positions include a bachelor's degree, strong customer service skills and at least two years of postgraduate professional work experience. Candidates are asked to arrive in professional attire and bring multiple copies of their resume.

“After the incredible turnout and success of last month’s hiring event, we are excited to host our second event, allowing us to continue to recruit and hire career-focused professionals in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area,” said Tiffany McGowen, Paycom’s national recruiting director. “We look forward to meeting more candidates who align with our core values, such as winning, leading, serving and embracing hard work.”

While not required, interested parties are encouraged to preregister for the June 28 event at pycm.co/June28HireMe. To view all current open positions and apply online, visit careers.paycom.com/corporate.

Probably pretty high-paying jobs for that area.

A cousin’s wife works for Paycom in OKC and loves it. I think it’s the job she’s held for the most time because they have moved a bunch previously. I believe she told him she’s not willing to move any more due to the pay & benefits of working for Paycom. My cousin is a plumber who is no longer physically able to do that job so he works at Home Depot in the plumbing department.

Depending on the job description, many jobs are opening up to remote workers (telecommuters) because certain job skills just aren't available locally, or the prospects don't want to relocate...

I work with a number of "Managed Services" tech companies whose employees only need a laptop, high-speed internet connection, and maybe a headset and extra monitor(s). They can (and do) work from anywhere in the world. I also worked remotely for a number of years as a developer until the project and responsibility grew to something that required a local (hands-on) presence. Still telecommute on occasion and for weekend rotations in the current job, so have the best of both worlds.

More companies need to open up for this type of option is they want the best and brightest (though management of these workers is a different challenge on its own)...

Same thing was done in the NYC metro area with financial-sector jobs; importing lots of “replacement white-collar Americans” to keep wages low. Americans no longer buy homes or breed; those that can get out are doing so - and local governments are very alarmed at the exodus.
