Keep in mind True Pundit broke this story on November 2, 2016. (That’s 21 months ago for those keeping score).
Now, today, the Inspector General confirmed the FBI knew there was evidence on Anthony Weiner’s laptop and Hillary Clinton’s emails linked to sex crimes against children.
And James Comey was briefed about it.

The OIG needs access to him for the FISA abuse investigation currently underway as well as any other matters that may be within their purview.
That is why he is still employed although he is in Human Resources where he can not do anything that would require him to testify (the government would never call him as a investigator again).
As soon as the fire him, the OIG cannot demand he appear and testify so clearly he has agreed to cooperate on some level. He has an attorney, but the fact that he has not resigned (like Page) is very telling.
