Motto: the future aint what it used to be.
Let me begin with some grim factoids: suicide is now the tenth leading cause of death in the United States. Every year, almost 45,000 Americans blow their brains out (most of the suicides involve firearms), and for every successful suicide, if I may use the word, 25 attempt and fail at it, fortunately. More than half suicides involve guns, hence the hyper-inflated gun crime stats used by the left to snuff the second amendment, and there are 123 suicides per day on average in the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. White males make for 70 percent of suicides, as per 2016 data, while men overall die by suicide 3.53x more often than women, with middle aged white men in particular being susceptible to commit suicide.

1. Too much “everyone gets a trophy” - so when real-life hits them, they just wither in depression.
2. Over-prescription of drugs with known side-effects that include suicidal tendencies.
3. Breakdown of the family - systematic attacks on the fabric of civil society - family (and God). Take away the core support of family, ban God from schools and public places - then wonder why people lose hope.
If that is the case then the Good Lord wants more Mohammadens?
Snowflake liberalism.....
The peak suicide rate was during the depression at 17.4 percent and the low was 9.9 in 1957.
Guess what, they also went up under Carter and down with Reagan, Peaked again with Clinton, fell with Bush2 and rose again under Obama.
As always, it’s the economy stupid. But I will add another hypothesis. The last three suicide peaks occurred during times of rabid enviro-regulatory enforcement that eviscerated rural economies and raw materials extraction industries, bankrupting loggers, miners, ranchers and many of the business they previously supported.
Dan Love of the BLM bragged about the suicides his enforcement actions resulted in.
