Robert De Niro got a standing ovation at the Tony Awards for shouting “F— Trump” from the stage to the crowd at Radio City Music Hall. But viewers at home didn’t hear the expletive thanks to the 10-second delay CBS had on the live telecast and the quick reflexes of a CBS Program Practices executive monitoring the show back at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York.
CBS confirmed that De Niro went off script in his remarks as he took the stage to introduce Bruce Springsteen’s performance on the Tony telecast. The CBS Program Practices executive monitoring the show has the ability to push a delete button to drop audio entirely from the telecast.
“Mr. De Niro’s comments were unscripted and unexpected. The offensive language was deleted from the broadcast,” CBS said in a statement....

If you get your information from the Tony Awards, you would think this country was jailing and murdering homosexuals daily and our President is Adolf Hitler.
I think Trump may be accelerating the aging process of liberals.

Now, it’s reduced to acting like a whiny baby on a stage hardly anyone really cares about.
(Of course, while I’m typing this, ‘Inside North Korea’ is playing on National Geographic channel and they’ve repeatedly spewed the liberal talking points that there’s no way sanctions will have any impact and that Trump’s comments mean that the only way forward is North Korea’s denuclearization and that’d never happen.

I did not know whether to laugh, cry, or appeal to God on his behalf.
So I did all three.
Why don’t these people see who can turn into a foaming at the mouth rabid dog the best in their Trump hatred.
Unfortunately, there are freepers who will flock to see his next movie if it interests them.
About a year ago I stated that I haven’t been to a movie theater since 1989. One freeper, and I remember his “name”, became extremely triggered and castigated me for not doing my American “duty” to support Hollywood. As for me, I had a good laugh at him.
Why some conservatives are so obsessed with the hollywood freaks I will never know..
We walked out of private Benjamin movie in 1980 due to excessive stupid profanity - we aren’t prudes but it was insulting. And depressing to see a pretty good actress reduced to that kind of pandering script. Pandering to the 11 year old ghetto audience. Ruined the movie. We haven’t been back to the theatre since. DiNiro is supposed to be a capable actor but we’d never ever attend any of his movies if he’s as insulting and just plain stupid as his statement makes him sound. What sane human being would use the public airwaves to rant such insanity , anyway? He’s mental and needs psychiatric treatment Desperately

I think it’s obvious that we do NOT need the ACTOR...but really, really, really need someone who ACTS to make us all safe.
Always thought De Niro was an overrated punk, who was more like The Taxi Driver, who he portrayed, than a normal person.

Reviewing his body of work, it appears that success is built on a performance in Godfather II. And that performance is more the credit of director Francis Ford Coppola. And going back to that body of work, what stellar work has De Niro performed lately?
But for a ticket to see Tony Curtis do Hamlet or Henry V ... now that would be an award performance! /s
