James Wolfe Being A National Security Risk Overrides Reporter/Source Privilege.

There is no question in my mind that the Department of Justice was absolutely justified in looking into reporter, Ali Watkins’s electronic records. Why do I say this?

Due to her intimate relationship with government official James Wolfe, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s Director of Security from May 1987 to December 2017, her records became a matter of National Security. The fact that Wolfe lied to the FBI proves this.

James Wolfe’s first allegiance was to the United States. He took an oath to safeguard classified and top secret material. On a daily basis he had access to the most critical intelligence provided to the Committee by the Executive Branch of the United States Government.

The Executive Branch was obligated to share material with the Committee pertaining to a counterintelligence investigation on Carter Page. Strangely soon after, Ms. Watkins revealed that information to the public.

“”I think it’s a very clear sign from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, they are not messing around,” Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC.”
The Democrats and lame street media had no problem with this raid but now.....

If these self-justifying deep staters dont start falling HARD, our country is done. This actually means that if Trump can’t do it We the People must.

This is bigger as she was sleeping around and collecting secrets from several people.

Not normally an agent provocateur, I do agree. We must stop all this crap.

I do not understand Trump’s reluctance to act or what laws prevent him from doing do.

Mueller clearly seems to be the traitor and running amok.

It’ll be interesting to see how her career now progresses. In the old days, you could have done this for twenty years and never stepped into a big mess.

I’ve yet to hear who was the primary sponsor of Wolfe. They report that he worked for the ssci for 30 years. Being a leaky boat for 30 years and your sponsors not knowing about it is a bit long on odds.

Perhaps he was a designated leaker by both sides. Leaking info he was supposed to leak. Or is it that after 26 years on the job he suddenly fell victim to a honey pot trap?

One thing for sure. A certain reporter’s career is going to take a turn for the worse when she can’t provide the inside scoop anymore. She’s untouchable and might as well work for the national inquirer dreaming up space alien conspiracies.

We the people can do it as soon as people stop just complaining and do something about it.

The people have all the power they need to bring the LEFT MEDIA CARTEL if they will use it.

After the Horowitz report is released, there will in all likelihood be sufficient evidence of corruption and partisanship to start removing the management layers at the DOJ and FBI — right away. The only way to clean up the mess and restore integrity in them is to clean house.

I hope Trump acts decisively. If he continues to leave these operatives and conspirators in place it will indeed be hard to understand.

Hired when George HW Bush was prez and George Mitchell was Senate majority leader. Wolfe was a Democrat staffer and came from military intelligence.

The past pattern of IG reports is that serious violations are dealt with before, usually long before, the final IG report. Like it or not, that has been the practice.

Ali Watkins is 22 y/o so she wasn't born in May 1987.

How does this slop get past an editor?

Sorry, silly question....

Wolfe and Watkins need to be tried, convicted, and serve long terms in a prison for hardened criminals, not some country club place.

Isn't having sex with a highly placed person with access to super-sensitive information on p1 of the KGB manual for spycraft. F his brains out - literally - is the oldest move in the world.

I guess it turns on the meaning of spy and "is"

None dare to call it treason.

Even though that is exactly what it is.

The official release of the report gives Trump the political cover he needs to clean house. As usual, timing is everything. Trump should seize the moment to rid these agencies of corrosive political infestation.

I think the IG report is going to be “softer” than many hope for but it will still solidify the public’s perception that problems exist that need to be corrected by sweeping management changes.

He was one of the croneys. They same croneys “discover” him leaking. And then the next day announced they cannot share the FISA document with Congress.

Probably just a coincidence.

Thank goodness our on the ball FBI, and DOJ were able to ferret out this leaker! I totally take this at face value. Obviously they decided to stop trying to overthrow Trump, switched sides, and now are aggressivly trying to protect Trump. ... yeah sure, i believe that.
