Consider that Seth Rich was murdered, not by Democrats, but by Pakistanis who panicked at the possibility that one side effect of Seth Rich’s leaks would be a tightening of security which would affect THEM.

Consider another possibility- from other news going on at the time the Awan story was about to unravel- the execution of an Iranian nuclear scientist who defected/disappeared in Saudi Arabia while on the hajj and then reappeared in the US... briefly. I think there was a lot of coverup stories planted in the press regarding the missing Iranian because his defection was darn inconvenient to the Iran deal being negotiated. Th first stories claimed he had been kidnapped while on the Hajj by the CIA.... but what if it were really a defection and the State Dept didn’t want him to start talking about Iran’s program and ruin Kerry’s deal?
Not long after he surfaced in the US, he ended up in the Pakistani embassy in Washington DC- how he got there no one knows. Maybe it wasn’t under his own power, if you know what I mean. And that’s when he was quoted in the press- when he was out of our protection and in the most unsafe place in the US he could be if he were to torque off Iran.
We were then treated to a bull-crap story about how he was homesick and wanted to go back to Iran.
Why was the Pakistani embassy the worst possible place to be? It is the interest section of Iran which does not have an embassy here and uses Pakistan’s instead. And Iran considered the guy a traitor of course, since he was part of their nuke program and they had every reason to believe he disappeared in Saudi Arabia in order to squeal to us about their program. So by ending up in the Pakistani embassy the poor guy was doomed.
Always wondered if the Awans “helped” him get to the embassy and into Iran’s hands. Or if the Democrats, so desperate for an Iran deal, arranged for the guy to be turned over to Iran like they arranged for Elian Gonzales to be turned over to Castro.
