You couldn’t pay me to go to a mall in any urban area, for the same reason I won’t be going to a Starbucks. They are hangouts for noncustomers with way too much time on their hands.

Was going to happen

smart phones, walmart and Amazon was the death of the mall.

I know of a dozen thriving malls and one dead mall in NJ. The dead mall is near a working class area, while all the thriving malls are in upper middle class areas. Demographics, all the thriving malls have expensive and mid range stores. One mall has a Tesla store and a Rolex store.

Many malls are not safe to shop at.

A mall is one of those places where your being there increases your chances of being the victim of a mass murder.

Not to mention they are generally full of as$holes and highly overpriced.

Amazon has what I need for less, and I don’t have to interact with anyone.

That is all.

This site has been around for a while

http://deadmalls.com/

All the smaller malls in Maryland either completely died or were rebirthed into Shopping Centers.

The survivors grew

I have two malls equidistant from my house.
The one on the bus line is dying.
The one farther out is thriving.
Draw your own conclusions.

When I read “economic decline”, I had to look at the date of the article. Sure enough, four years old.

A bygone era is all. But sad nonetheless.

CONTINUE to get the feds who kill the pursuit and creation of wealth, out of the market economy becsue the FREE market creates opportunity, wealth, and a vibrant economy.

THE reason for our economic woes is the 80% unconstitutional federal government. Period!!!

The GREATEST threat to our lives, freedoms, and livelihoods is the 80% unconstitutional federal government , thus, OUR objective is CLEARLY to DISMANTLE the unconstitutional 80% portion of the federal government.

More about this below...

The Right needs to get something straight. We will NEVER MAGA until our Free Constitutional Republic is restored. We MUST NOT settle for anything less.

We love to say things like “MAGA” or “Drain the Swamp” without considering what we really mean or clarify what our goals are. The Left is very clear about their goal - Global Totalitarian Government - and will not stop until they accomplish it. The Right, however, seems to be happy with a few gains here and there with no clear objective.

Well, let me help. “Restoration of our free constitutional republic” sounds nice, kinda like “MAGA” and “drain the swamp”. But so what? What the freak does all this mean and what the freak is our objective? Well, our objective that we MUST achieve and MUST NOT stop until we accomplish it is the restoration of our Free Constitutional Republic.

OK, you might say, so let Trump do all of that. But once you identify what we’re talking about here, you’ll see it’s going to take more than an eight-year stint even for Trump and it’s going to take more than a Presidnt to do it - it’s going to take WE the PEOPLE .

So what’s it going to take to RESTORE OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, wrenching our beloved country from the hands of the Lying Leftist Tyrants?

Politically and legally, three things must happen:

1) ABOLISH THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL PORTION OF THE FEDS. Dismantling the unconstitutional 80% portion of the $4 trillion federal government, sending hundreds of thousands of government officials, bureaucratic heads, and government workers home packing without a job. They’ve leeched off of the hard work of the rest of us long enough. Don’t worry about them - there will be plenty of opportunities as the economy launches into the stratosphere like never before.

2) CONSTITUTIONALLY LIMIT THE POWER OF THE SUPREME COURT. Stop allowing Supreme Court decisions to be the law of the land. There is only ONE constitutionally authorized legislative body: Congress. (U.S. Const, art. I, sec. 1). The scope and legitimacy of the power of Supreme Court decisions are limited to

a) CONSTITUTIONALLY-BASED DECISIONS. Decisions based on the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended. Unconstitutional Supreme Court decisions are invalid (id. art. VI, cl. 2) and should be rejected, nullified, overturned or ignored by the states and the other two branches of the federal government.

b) AUTHORITY ONLY OVER THE PARTIES OF THE CASE. If the rationale of the decision is based on the Constitution, the effect of the decision reaches only to the parties of Individual Cases and Controversies before the Court and any other cases with the same questions of law and fact (id. art. III, sec. 2). No Supreme Court decision is national law. It is up to Congress and Congress ONLY, to legislate the constitutional laws of the land (id. art. I, sec. 1).

3) EXERCISE OF STATE SOVEREIGNTY. States need to become financially independent of the central government as they were when we declared our Independence in 1776. Outside constitutional limitations, the states are sovereign and the people of each state need to elect representative who exercise their sovereignty and constitutional independence from the feds.

To accomplish “1) ABOLISH THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL PORTION OF THE FEDS”, the unconstitutional 80% of the alphabet soup of federal departments, agencies, and bureaucracies need to be nuked. The list is below:

Unconstitutional Cabinet Bureaucracies:

Department of Health and Human Services ($1 TRILLION budget!!!)
Department of Energy
Department of Education
Department of Labor
Department of Agriculture
Department of Commerce
Department of Housing and Urban Development
Department of Transportation

All 67 agencies and bureaucracies of the unconstitutional fourth-branch fiefdom of the Independent Federal Administrative and Regulatory System, including:

EPA
FCC
FTC
SBA (Small Business Administration)

And a reminder of what that means, It means sending hundreds of thousands of government officials, bureaucratic heads, and government workers home packing without a job. THAT is going to take more than Trump, a Trump successor, and the American People. It will take the Divine Providence of God Almighty who I believe is here, like he was in 1776 with our Founders, to help us do that miraculous task, Trump’s “impossible” election being pretty clear evidence of God’s help here.

So, no, Trump with the America People will not reasonably be able to do all of this in eight years, and Pence is not the man for this job. We need another OUTSIDER, not another career politician like Pence, with an iron will, nerves of steel, and a very thick asbestos suit to accomplish the vision to restore our free constitutional republic without regard or fear of the fire that will come from the Left.

“Teens” rampage through malls. Not having to every worry about joining the workforce, and not having the habit of studying, millions of “teens” go hang out at the mall. In contact with each other by means of iphones that you paid for, they swoop down on places and act like the savages that they are, knowing full well that there are no consequences for their actions.

So I stopped going to malls several years ago.

The reason why two malls in the Sacramento, CA area—Arden Fair and Westfield Roseville Galleria—thrive is the presence of Nordstroms and an Apple Store.

One New Years I took my kids out to a late night movie for a treat- The plae had a dozen cop cars parked outside and at least 3 dozen officers inside, and a ton of ‘feral youth’ wandering around.

Inside the movie theater it was crazy- they seemed to think the movie required audience participation in the dialogue.

After we left (thankfully with a cop who watched us out to the parking lot) one of my unusually silent children said ‘that was weird’

Never again.

Even the very upscale Mall at Short Hills in NJ has 21 vacant spaces. Granted, many of these are being refitted for new tenants, but this is a record number of vacancies at one time and looks rather shabby.

2) Who wants to walk around a mall infiltrated by large packs of inner city thugs.

Thanks for sharing.

I never go to malls. Seriously, I bet less than an hour total in the past 5 years has been spent in shopping malls.

It seems like these buildings could be purchased fairly cheap, and maybe reconfigured into schools? Just a thought, knowing that the school districts would not be happy if they cannot build NEW buildings of their own.
