The Oklahoma Wardens catches another road hunter.
The Oklahoma Game Wardens recently busted a hunter who was illegally taking out turkeys with a suppressed rifle.

Thanks to a tip from the public (via Oklamoma Game Warden Facebook)that clued in wardens Blake Pearson and Mark Murray to a suspect.

On April 13 Game Wardens Blake Pearson (Kingfisher County) and Mark Murray (Oklahoma/ Canadian Counties) seized 5 illegally harvested turkeys from a subject.

Warden Pearson had received numerous calls in previous weeks regarding a vehicle that appeared to be road hunting. Pearson was finally able to get a complete tag number from a landowner.
The landowner obtained the tag number after seeing the driver holding a rifle out the window pointed at a field full of turkeys. The suspect was found working on a drilling rig in Kingfisher County. Read the rest of the Poacher caught with Suppressed Rifle here.

If you are going to poach, do it on your own land.

Years ago, I went to a police auction of seized weapons in Oklahoma. One of the rifles, a .22 rimfire, was offered for sale. The policeman noted the rifle had hand made threads “for one of those little illegal thingies” on the end, which was why the rifle was seize from the poacher.

Lots of items sold that day, a slow sale day. Then about noon, an electrical charge went the crowd and they all surged foreward! THEY WERE SELLING THE GUNS! People were paying NEW prices for junk guns! Some good ones went for real good prices.

If you're on your own land, is it really poaching?

Only if there is such a thing as "the king's deer".

If turkeys had oppose-able thumbs we would all be dead.

If unborn babies had the means and knowledge of how to effectively use theirs...
