I knew Jim Comey back when he was U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. He did have a pretty decent reputation as a straight arrow back then. Something in Jim changed for the worse after President Bush promoted him to NY DA, and then subsequently to deputy AG (while Mueller was head of FBI). I don’t recognize this Jim Comey.
