Weasel words and what do they mean?

An interesting moment I caught during Ted Cruz's excellent grilling of Mark Zuckerberg.

Cruz: "Of the 20 thousand people you say monitor the content of users ... do you know any of their political affiliations"?

Zuckerberg: "Senator we 'GENERALLY' do not hire people based on their political affiliation".

Here's the link to the particular moment: https://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=3712

Generally merely means 'not the majority' totally avoiding the question of the facebook minitors. This is something Ted Cruz wouldn't pass up to follow up on the use of 'GENERALLY'.

Next question is why didn't any of the Senators ask Zuckerberg of how much he allows 3rd party interests to control what's posted on Facebook. Meaning NGO, boycott groups, et al.

Finally, I found the constant use of the term 'hurtful inn the context of speech only, not threats or plans, but merely advocacy of a different viewpoint such as abortion vs life, If you'll note this is the crap that has been coming out of progressively controlled campuses. So it seems Zuckerberg is tied into the Progressive talking points and applies the progressive terms which essentially paint everything they say as legitimate and anything a conservative say's is hateful aka the Alinsky plan.

I was disappointed that the Senators did not pursue more of those questions.

Zuckerberg's definitely tied into the far left's talking points: Mark Zuckerberg Blasts Facebook Staff for Replacing "Black Lives Matter" with "All Lives Matter"

“Hurtful” means ‘hurtful to white liberal elites’... AND their pet victim groups.

F*ckerberg used “generally” in many of his obtuse, evasive answers. He’s just another Silicon Valley sh!tbird Leftist. When FB uses the term “dangerous to the community,” it means they suppress speech and opinions that differ from their own Regressive PC nonsense.

The problem isn’t FB bias it’s the people who actually get there news from FB. Anyone who does is the problem. They’re idiots and the millions of them.

I’m not a fan of more laws and regulation either .

I was disappointed that the Senators did not pursue more of those questions.

Would that be because of the Z’s large and generous donations to their political campaigns?

There was something on “somefinger” news service that reported that ‘berg’ had 36 of the 50 committee members in his pocket.

Neither am I; However, one regulation I would be very accepting of on this count would be prohibition of political favoritism/activism on the part of Fakebook.

“Generally”, because he assumes everybody they hire is a leftist Silicon Valley progressive granola nut.

I found the whole Q and A session a peculiar joke with the exception of Cruz all the senators and congressmen had to read their questions prepared for them by their aids no doubt but the questions themselves showed the densely strained IQ of the aids themselves.

And Zuckerberg here’s a man {i use the term loosely} that owns a multi billion dollar company with thousands of employees and his answers were so lacking you found yourself looking up the meaning of the word {answer} he knows Absolutely nothing about his own company {how frightening is that?}

Both sides of this issue for one reason or another seems to not know their arses from holes in the ground it’s obvious zuckerberg either has learned well how to duck and cover or deserves an academy award for lying through his teeth for the sake of the board of trustees who should by all rights be seeing cash drain from their accounts like swamp water from washington !

On the other hand the politicians sitting in the gallery of clowns chomping at the bit for the information power zuckerberg has is absolutely frightening they are like rabid dogs waiting to pounce on the unsuspecting doe the only thing that quells the fear a bit is the fact that the questions they asked were so obviously lame 6 year olds have had deeper more consistent thoughts and could have made up more cognitive questions relevant to the discussion !

It was just embarrassing

Social Network, the movie, has a famous scene where one of the early “founders” of Facebook is asked how often he goes to FB. He admits that he doesn’t go there. The opinion of everyone else about that is clear.

You better believe that every wannabe employee of FB is screened as to how many times they go to FB, which sites they go to, how often they post and to which sites they post.

I did not watch the worm in a business suit. Can’t stand him. He is exactly what years of liberalism have produced. Someone with no principles, who will do anything at all for a buck, and who hates this country but slurps up the money.

He is a sleaze. He deserves jail, but will never go.

....prohibition of political favoritism/activism on the part of Fakebook.

That’ll never happen and could never be regulated. Just look at the MSM.

Unless it’s state run there are no controls and we don’t want state run anything.

Facebook and Twitter are censorship and surveillance sites, emblematic of liberals’ desire to live under a dictatorship.
