The Kelley Blue Book site gave me a fair out the door price for the base model (includes taxes and fees) of $36,019 and financing of $650/month for 60 months.

For the Accord: $24,912 and 450/mo for 60 mos.

That's $12,000 dollars over the 5 years of the loan. At $2.50/gallon and 33mpg for the Accord, you would drive 160k before you got caught up to the 36k purchase price of the Clarity.

I'd buy the Accord.

The finances change when you subtract the $7500 the Federal Govt kicks in. Still probably not enough to get me to pick the Clarity over the Accord.

We love our second V-6 Accord, a 2013. Not sure about the new V-4 Turbos.
