I really miss the "We make it simple" days when Honda made great cars that didn't annoy their owners.

The author, Jim Bray, while often using the adjective Whiny, comes off himself to be an irritating, whiny metro-sexual by the way he writes.

The Kelley Blue Book site gave me a fair out the door price for the base model (includes taxes and fees) of $36,019 and financing of $650/month for 60 months.

For the Accord: $24,912 and 450/mo for 60 mos.

That's $12,000 dollars over the 5 years of the loan. At $2.50/gallon and 33mpg for the Accord, you would drive 160k before you got caught up to the 36k purchase price of the Clarity.

I'd buy the Accord.

Sooner or later there will be a road tax on electricity used for vehicle propulsion.

Save the world? Where the hell do they think the electricity comes from Mr. Fusion? And what about the environmental damage caused by the manufacturing and disposal of batteries? They only thing they got right is the part about getting other people to pay for it! Bend over taxpayer!!!

I guess I’m not understanding how they get away with “government incentives” when you buy something like this. That’s other taxpayer’s money;the government has none of their own. The incentive in some cases represents an amount more than some taxpayers could pay for a car.
