Shooting Down Misleading Myth About Anti-Gun Rally Crowd Sizes
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/26/18 | Ron A.Y. Rich

It's Like Comparing Bullets and Blanks

Comparing the crowd size of the anti-gun rally at Washington D.C. with the crowd size at President Trump’s inauguration is like comparing apples and oranges, or perhaps more apropos, bullets and blanks. It is even more outrageous than the misleading comparisons between the inaugurations of President Obama and Trump that I wrote about in the Canada Free Press, “Response to Claim That More Women Protested [at the women’s rally the day after President Trump’s inauguration] Than People Attended the Inauguration,” Jan. 23, 2017 (which includes a large section contrasting the Obama and Trump inauguration crowd sizes).

The inauguration of President Trump was on a weekday; the anti-gun rally was on a Saturday. Schools did not generally give students an opportunity to take off from school to attend the inauguration of President Trump; if anything, most schools are headed and staffed by people who opposed the results of the election that led to the inauguration.

The crowd size for Trumps inauguration was bigger. This march had around 200,000 at tops on a Saturday at that. The March for Life had 700 to 800 thousand on a weekday.

The only protest that matters takes place on the first Tuesday in November.

Most of the morons in DC this weekend were paid to be there, or they’re getting there was paid for. That’s a HUGE consideration.

As much as it pains me, I believe Tom Gresham is right.

We gun owners ignore this student anti-gun movement at our peril.

Yes, they are funded by Soros and Bloomberg. But student’s sentiments are genuine, as Tom has pointed out, can lead to gun control as ominous as the 1968 Gun Control Act.

The liberal press is the thug arm of the democrat party - - OF COURSE THEY WOULD LIE TO MAKE THE NUMBER LOOK LARGER THAN THEY WERE....

Simple formula:

Liberal cause = Actual crowd size X 4

Conservative cause = Actual crowd size / 4

There is no longer a ‘press’ in America. Once they sold themselves to the DNC... we no longer have a press.

Bottom line: If you only tell half of the story ... it’s the same as telling a lie.

Who cares? These people are sheep who get caught up in a frenzy for something they know nothing about.

Minor correction, the March for Life has 700-800,000 on a weekday in January every year.

Except the one in 2016 where only 350,000 showed up in the face of a whopper blizzard.

The march ended around 4pm just ahead of the leading edge of a blizzard that shut the city down for a couple days.

We live 90 minutes from DC and I’m not afraid of snow. It took some people several days to get home. Yet we still came.
