It is being dropped more because it’s not clear it’s a mass murder, not because an officer confronted him with gun.
We at FR have reports from a FReeper whose son was right there as a teacher. His son tried to talk down the boy. He knew him to be “stalking” his old GF. He says the younger boy was a football player he coached and just got incidentally shot in the leg. The son saw the shooter get shot by the officer once, refuse to drop his weapon, then just shot himself.
Everything points to this being a targeted shooting, not intent on mass murder.
Nowadays every time someone with a gun comes into a “public place” and shoots someone or even 2, media latches on like it’s another mass murder. But they drop it when it becomes clear it really was just a drug deal revenge, or relationship trouble, etc. Yes, sometimes those confrontations happen in a mass public space like school or malls.
Liberals can’t see reality...
Of course the media will not give him credit nor will they repeat the story for the next month, over and over
