Fox News' Jeanine Pirro condemned Attorney General Jeff Sessions for not taking the steps to reopen the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
How does Jeanine know what Sessions is working on?
As a Conservative, Im willing to moderate my opinion of Sessions until positively proven otherwise.
Sleep Sessions prefers to go after marijuana smokers and growers.
Because what he gets as his replacement is Rosenstein (Rosenweasel), the deputy AG. The problem all started with Session’s recusal—we would not be here save for that action. Sessions wanted it so bad he recused himself as a result of Al Franken’s questioning. That joke Franken is gone, so let Sessions unrecuse himself. That will not happen as Sessions has no testicular testosterone left.
“Cant Trump fire Sessions anytime he wants? If yes, who then is the real problem?”
If Trump fires sessions, the justice department shuts down. Which means any investigations currently going on (which we may know or not know about) will shut down. Which is what the Democrats and Deep State wants.
“In the real world (a real job), you’d have been fired long ago for incompetence.”
In the real world the boss would have fired him. Trump does nothing about it.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. However, Sessions was a conservative darling for years, and most were delighted he was appointed AG. Then everything went south only after Sessions took office. Sessions was a Trojan horse. His job was to box Trump in, and he's done a slick job at it. I'm still shocked that so many people refuse to acknowledge the truth of this.
Trump isn’t worry about his stormy past
Exactly
If it makes you feel better then forget that it was Jeanine Pirro saying it.
Back to the important point, Jeff Sessions has lost his prosecutorial balls.
No one is telling us the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
I think you’re correct.
The idea that Sessions is twiddling his thumbs all day with no idea what he’s doing is rope-a-dope with an intended purpose, and I’m starting to think some in the conservative media and maybe even talk radio may be in on the ruse.
It probably means there is something more going on from what we are seeing and hearing in the media.
At first blush, many Trump supporters, including many FRreepers, think that Trump doesn't like what Sessions is doing and can't understand why he hasn't fired him already. To them, he should fire him and get someone else in there. Sessions is worthless.
At the same time, the media pounds on Trump because he's picking on poor Sessions. They are defending him because Trump is on the outs with him. Anybody who Trump is against, the media will support and defend. Automatic.
But some people think that Trump and Sessions are working behind the scenes to spring a trap on some Deep State Swamp bad guys at the DOJ and the FBI who had weaponized and politicized these agencies.
Trump never does anything haphazardly. Everything is strategic to him. He's a big board chess player. His Tweets are intended to elicit responses from the various players he wants to engage. They don't necessarily communicate what he is up to. He likes to keep the media and the democRATS off kilter.
It just makes no sense to me that Sessions is just sitting around doing nothing, twiddling his thumbs. He's up to something. And if he's up to something under the radar, then Trump knows about it.
Watch this video for a different take on the Trump /Sessions goings on. Everything may not be what it appears.
Cant Trump fire Sessions anytime he wants? If yes, who then is the real problem?
...
It is quite a quandary. He must be blackmailed.
Bingo!
The media, the Democrats and Mueller will charge Trump with obstruction if he doesn't fire Rosenstein or Sessions...And they will still call for impeachment...So now what???
I should add to my previous post. . .
For example, in the case of talk radio:
Howie Carr (WRKO Boston) and Mark Simone (WOR NYC) are both YUGE Trump supporters. They’re literally friends with the guy and their shows have big ratings in their markets. They even sub for each other, and have each other on one another’s shows. Very symbiotic.
I am an avid listener of both. Daily.
Mark Simone is virulently sour on Sessions, and rips him to shreds every time his name comes up. Is always saying he has to go, and that he’s not going to last, that he’s a disaster, etc.
Howie Carr, who is very much a no holds barred kind of guy, on the other hand, is mostly silent on Sessions, but when he does come up, does not seem to buy into this idea that there is a massive schism between he and Trump. I think there was a listener poll recently that they post online where they ask if Sessions should be fired and when Howie gave his answer, it was an emphatically stated no.
I can’t believe these two haven’t had a conversation about this... And I’m trying to recall if they discussed it when they have had each other on as guests, but I can’t right now.
Hell, they’re probably both FReepers for all I know!
Anyway, take all that for what it is, but it is an observation I’ve made....
Somethings coming. It has to. Can anybody explain to me a solid rationale for letting the coup continue when blatant criminal activity is right before Sessions eyes. What the hell good is a plan once Mueller brings charges, regardless of how flimsy they are.
That is the $64K question. Trump can fire him and appoint anyone he wants as acting AG. That he hasn’t is very odd and unsettling as the public criticism of Sessions is very unseemly.
Actually Trump could appoint another cabinet member approved by the Senate as AG without going through another hearing. Dems and press would go ballistic but he could legally. Sessions just needs to say he has health problems, wants to spend more time with family and grandkids, anything of that nature.
