George Soros is officially messing with Texas. He’s given almost $1 million to just one candidate. He’ll stop at nothing to make Texas liberal. We must muster the resolve & resources to fight this take over attempt. #tcot #txlege @TexasGOP #PJNET

That’s exactly right. One should never underestimate the enemy.

The Old Nazi will die. His money will not run out that quick.

The ComDems must be exposed for what and who they are and who their supporters are.

Thanks for the ping. Makes me want to puke that that old dirtbag wants to put his foot on my state. Trouble with folks wishing he’d just meet his maker is that he’s got a son trained up to continue the evil. Can’t help but think of what our ancestors would think sitting in that old mission 182 years ago. Election day is the anniversary of the day The Alamo fell, giving us half the rallying cry for victory. Nothing will make my heart more joyeous than to re-establish our independence on that anniversary.

Re: those early voting ballots
Scary, I hope there’s a method for investigating that mess. I’m in a rural county so it’s a lot different, but having worked as an election judge I know we had pretty picky ways to verify questionable ballots. I wouldn’t want to have to deal with that volume of ballots myself but that number of ballots on day 1 needs to be gone over with a fine tooth comb.

My dad's grandfather was born in Texas during the Republic.

This is on his headstone:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DS3MBHnVoAEu0Tl.jpg

His grandfather ended the Civil War in a POW camp in NY. He walked home to Texas.

Other of my ancestors fought in the American Revolution. My daughter belongs to a DAR Group.

I'm not interested in leaving the United States, but if it became so bad that we did, we would not be alone. Many of our neighbor states would follow.

I want the entire US back. And the Subversives who hate us in jail.

LaHood is horrible. I sat on one of his juries and he basically gave away the case. My dog could have litigated the case better.

but i do not believe any amount will swing texas to the left side...

As many illegals and then the yankees that are moving into our State, it is getting dicey. We have to have a good turn out at every election to keep the State red and try and elect good officials.

Don’t hold your breath. “They’ve” been pushing for Texas to turn purple the past couple years. There’s already been a huge uptick of demonrat early voting. Someone better be on top of those early votes to make sure they are legal citizens, alive and not voting multiple times.

If “they” can show Texas going purple during the mid terms, they can manipulate the vote even further to make it go blue by ‘20. Texas holds second, right under California, with 38 electoral votes. The day Texas goes blue, its the end of the GOP. Finished. Put a nail in it. Done. Over. Bye bye.

Do you think a Soros selection would be better?

(I know nothing about LaHood.)

All in agreement with those sentiments!

My 3xgreat grandmother and her first husband settled in Texas in 1828. She was later widowed and during the Republic had her own ranch as a single lady. Later married the 3xgreat grandfather but I have DRT membership thru her line. As a lady, it’s nice telling my grandkids (11 girls, 10 boys) about our heritage thru her. It’s not a feminist thing. Just proving us women in Texas always been able to do what we want to in life. And we’re still ladies, running a good household, raising kids right.

I’ve got the Daughter’s of the Confederacy covered on both my mama’s and daddy’s side but used the lineage my daddy used for the Son’s. That’s thru a 2xgreat granddad Tennessee Cavalry under Forrest (I forget the number.) He was from what’s now Hamilton County but had come to TX from TN so joined up with brothers back in TN. He was captured at the Battle of Franklin and ended up a POW also, I’d have to look back in my papers but he was held somewhere in the upper midwest. He didn’t have quite as long a walk home as your ancestor did but did make it home to Hamilton county on foot. Family history says his remembrances of the prison were of cold cold cold.

Far as we can tell none of my family was wealthy enough to have a slave. The granddad I spoke of said he was stood with the Confederacy because he knew every year before he put a crop in the ground 14% was going to the Fed Govt in tarrifs while the yankee mills paid nothing for what they sold after processing. Said it wasn’t a fair shake for the comman man.

Sorry, I ramble on this. But I believe hanging on to this family history and discussing it is what keeps my family conservative down thru the generations. My oldest 3 grandkids vote now. I was proud as a peacock of each of them before their first election when they brought up their candidate support. All of ‘em, so far, studied up and backed the conservatives. I think knowing our family history plays a big part in that.

I shudder every time I meet somebody new that just moved here from Kalifornia. Thankfully most of them say they moved here because they want a more conservative place. But I keep noticing they aren’t as conservative as me.

Unfortunately not all these newbies come here for the conservatism tho. Had to renew my driver’s license yesterday, went to the big ofc in Waco. There was a lady in front of me switching her license from Kalifornia. She came to Waco because of that TV show where people renovate homes. (I know of it but never watched) This lady is definitely putting a splash of purple in Waco and sadly just one of many. We need immigration laws in Texas for people from blue states.

Yeah, I always make major decisions based on some tv show.

Faaaaar too many foreigners settling down in Dallas. Too many EBTs in Houston. Waaaay too many Kalifornica libs coming to Austin. And then throw in the illegals...

Yes ma’am, what you said about the TV show decisions. Daddy would call them knot heads when being nice. Thankfully, we don’t actually live in McClennan County but that show does have crazy people moving to Waco, it was already known as “Whacko.” This just adds fuel to that fire.

The only item in the “pro column” to that influx from the TV show is that our rental property 30 miles out of Waco now brings in more than twice the rent. I am the first to admit the additional income will not offset a blue election tho.

Whatever happened to CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM? A thing of the past because it was set up to have so many ways around the law? Sure appears that way. I wish there was some way to confiscate all of Soros’ assets and leave him homeless on a street corner - in some S*** H*** city in Africa!! Or seize everything the man owns and tell Israel to come pick him up!!
