We just learned that the connection between Nikolas Cruz and the white supremacist group, Republic of Florida, was an elaborate hoax carried out by trolls and white supremacists.1 This was a deliberate effort by white supremacists to sow false information and drive division at a time of national tragedy where there is great suffering and loss. White nationalists and supremacists continue to show that they don't stand for the values of justice and fairness for all, but are committed to spreading hate. These hate groups used this crisis to stir confusion and disrupt the ongoing investigations by law enforcement and the media trying to seek the truth.
Virtually every left wing site that sends me email was like Color of Change, jumping for joy, ecstatic that there was finally a link. They saw it as the greatest fundraising opportunity they had ever seen. The fundraising emails were much heavier than usual.
Now are they in danger of fundraising under false pretenses and some Republican prosecutor can go after them?
It is common that they report fake news. But this is unusual that they retract it. They are running scared from something.

Don’t believe these Lying Leftist Media outlets like Politico that proved themselves during the 2016 campaign to be operatives of the DNC and intentional liars. They are presumed to be lying and we should presume what they publish is a lie. The presumption can only be rebutted with the outlet providing clear and convincing evidence they are not lying.
Why not post the TRUTH about the lies? You don't have to use the liar as the source to post a headline that alerts readers to a published lie. Use yourself as the source or a reasonably reliable source that addresses what the Lying Leftist source is saying. That way you have a headline and a source that your readers can reasonably rely on and they go away more informed about the lie AND the truth.

redlining the BS meter... The Daily Beast, The Associated Press and other so called media outlets were as giddy as children on Christmas morning. They WANTED it to be true so very badly that they didn’t even bother to do fact checking. They were salivating at the thought of having something to blame on anyone even remotely considered a Trump supporter or the NRA. As of this AM, the Daily Beast still had their article on the front page of their website.
By “elaborate,” they mean they contacted a guy over social media and asked him if Nicholas Cruz was a member of his group and they just went with what he said without even bothering to ask law enforcement for any supporting evidence.
Surprised they haven’t blamed BLM and Antifags on white supremists.

The MSM's propaganda works. If you take a poll a year from now, you will find that 75% of non-Republicans will believe that Cruz belonged to a white supremacist group. The leftist lie will have become commonly accepted as the truth, and the MSM's agenda will have been served.
