Wild hog makes a great lean bacon. Hunting them from the air is a waste in that sense. Trapping is best though.

I live in the Texas Hill country and these creatures pose a threat to livestock, property and pets. They seem to come out of nowhere and will completely destroy a landscaped yard in a matter of minutes. As for eating them, I wouldn’t. If you can capture them alive they can be observed and tested for disease. Otherwise, consuming one of these is risky business.

Ejected shell casings can easily JAM helicopter foot pedals. NOT safe without a catcher.

If only these RIGHT WING NUTS would be willing to talk and negotiate with these creatures, we might come to a peaceful solution to the issue.
But NO! The first thing they do is DECLARE WAR. No different that Bush with Iraq.

That looks like fun!
At that Youtube site, there's another hunt taking place in Australia by "contract hunters". Seems to me if they were serious about the problem they would declare an open season, sell hunting licenses to anyone who wants one then offer a bounty on the pigs........

A bit more costly than a traditional hog hunt, though.
