Vintage? F-16 is hardly vintage. Still in service, and God bless them. About as great as the P-51.

And how is the A-10 much different in representing “generations” when it’s basically the contemporary of the F-16?

“Contemporary” with the F-16?

IMHO, not really, the A-10 is a jet defined by Cold War expectations of fighting Soviet tanks. . .anti-armor and CAS missions, whereas the F-16 was designed to be a day/night fighter (mostly day), to fight an air-to-air war (”not a pound for air to ground”).

They are worlds apart and have nothing in common.

Just me talking. . . .
