nope- standard diamond formation.
none
Up here in Buckeye by Luke AFB, I get a steady stream of F-22s and F-16s, plus V-22s shuttling from Pendelton. The Raptors are super quiet by fighter standards, and the Ospreys are louder than a Ted Nugent concert in the front row.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. These kinds of maneuvers for precision timing are very important for real time live situations. You never know when these practice runs will be the training necessary for an important event. Every practice run is important.
Huh?
They were born the same time and in service the same time - up to today.
They are contemporaries.
They should’ve stuck something between them and the P-51 from the ‘50s or ‘60s.
Citing a flyover is not a particularly effective way to make your point.
But while we are on it, maintaining the ideal balance between an aggressive, technology-based marketplace and our nation's reasonably perceived defense needs is inevitably a close call.
Would you rather have too much defense or not enough in this fast-moving world? If not the former, do you have a continuing working knowledge of the evolving capabilities of our major potential adversaries?
On a lighter note, where do the A-10s go to shoot? I never hear any Brrrrts out where I live. Just lots of happy shrieking atmosphere.
yawn - what I do know is our military is run by corrupt perfumed princes who havent won a war in 70 years. They strut around like Generals in some banana republic festooned with row upon row of medals. Its embarrassing.
So your argument that the military needs ever more taxpayer money because of really really scary adversaries doesnt hold water. These clowns got whupped by a bunch of goatfuckers, instead of strutting and lecturing how gosh darn important theiy are - they should crawl under a rock and hide out of pure shame
She bucked the system in a dishonorable way.
Fighter pilots buck the system all the time but they do so by working the chain or if necessary, the IG.
To ignore the chain and the various ways to push back and jump to Congress (knowing the media will find out) is dishonorable and to be blunt, cowardly.
It was plain to all that knew her and were there, it was all about her, not the mission, not to fight for what is rightshe had an agenda and that was what she was pushing.
Fighter pilots do fight the system but they do so for a larger purpose, not just for themselves.
Make or female, what she did was wrong.
Campbell - she did what you are supposed to do. Not bragging? Why the heck was she being interviewed in the first place? Did anyone interview a male Hog driver that got his jet shot-up? Not hardly. Snippet here and there but no media blitz like Campbell. Why? It is clear the reason why was because the media and leftists were pushing the whole female fighter thing. Please do not be manipulated by the media and leftists.
Ranges are hard to find in the states because the fan for shooting the gun is so large, what works for the 20mm pop gun doesnt work for the Hog.
The gun is awesome and when you pull the trigger the first time, boy-howdy, it is the most fun you can have with your trousers on.
Zaragoza range in Spain and Goldwater range in AZ, the best. Shooting the gun from 12,000 feet awaygawd!
Cheers,
Oh, and this just popped:
Cheers,
Aha! I figured out where Goldwater range is. Thanks! That explains some things. I gotta get some range time in this week, but only in .40 at 7 yards, haha.
One would expect to hear your debating tactics and choice of words in a sorority house meeting. [ ;^)
If you are a male, let me suggest you get out more and see as much of the world as you can. Most particularly, get as close to the s##holes as seems prudent. Gradually, make it a point to meet as many new people as you can.
Such will involve some degree of commitment as well as physical and intellectual risk, so good luck on what could be your path to a new, more balanced and enlightened view of life.
only if they straffed the field
“WWII is at least three generations away. It is a relevant to kids today as the Spanish American war was to my generation.”
I had a similar epiphany when trying to explain some aspects of the Vietnam War and the end of the military draft to today’s college students. That was as long ago to them as World War I was to me when I was in college.
funny - you very likely get your pay from productive taxpayers, hence your arrogance and hubris.
You are close, but certainly not in the way you intend.
For the most part of my life, starting with my lawn mowing company during elementary school, I have been an entrepreneur. As with many FReepers, there have been a few relatively brief occasions when I voluntarily served our country.
What you see as arrogance and hubris is nothing more than the ordinary confidence one has knowing they do not require the resources of a collective for their basic needs, but can provide for their family and themselves with their own skills and efforts.
Why would taxpayers increase the budget of a obviously incompetant and failing organization ?
In the productive sector, incompetant entities get their budgets cut or they get shut down.
Only in the parasitic sector does failure get rewarded with more money.
