“Why not just buy an M1 if you want a smaller caliber?”
Um...let’s just say that if I had an M-1 Carbine (before my unfortunate canoeing accident of course) it would be in need of a major over haul. It’s hard to find complete parts kits at reasonable prices these days. And the ammo is a unique ammo (except for the AMT Automag III pistol).
What I like about the PC9 is that the new version comes with an insert which allows you to use Glock magazines. That’s handy! It’s also a takedown weapon so it’s easy to store. I really like that too.
Either way the PC9 is already hard as heck to find.
Same here - gonna keep an eye on it, this time. The previous run of Ruger pistol-caliber carbines came and went almost as quickly as the Marlin Camp Carbine models (which Remington Outdoors would be smart to revive, too). If the .45 is slow to appear, I'll take the 9mm and make do.
I hope Magpul does a backpacker stock rig for this one... and one of those barrel-mounted picatinny rails, too (works better than the receiver rail on the takedown models).

Thats my only issue, cant really call it a complaint, with the Takedown 10-22. It works very well but makes stowing in awkward. I will say its shockingly accurate. I can hit tennis balls consistently at 50 yards or so.
Handy little truck gun.
Best,
