Something is different. The Democrats tried to smear the Republicans and President Trump (they are separated for a reason!) with a government shutdown. They failed.
The Democrats' base constituency is now screaming for their scalps. One millennial girl openly called for dems to disavow incrementalism and go for broke - scorched earth politics, when the dems are already losing.
We have a President who knows how to bypass the media and reach millions of individuals, each of which is capable of self-thought, of observing and deciding for themselves. The media is malignantly indignant over being "maligned" as "fake news", when they have been nothing but false prophets for decades.
The current Attorney General is maligned as being AWOL, yet one popular suggested replacement has agreed that the AG had to recuse himself from the egregious Mueller-led probe into "collusion". (Rudy Giuliani). Yet many FReepers have signed onto the idea that an AG who is not visibly active is not active at all - despite the fact that the AG's position, prior to Obama - was one of the quietest positions at the top level in government.
We finally have a non-politician as President. Yet I see so many on this forum that decry the non-politician's way of doing things that I wonder if many of us have yet to fathom the depth of the current we are riding - that the fact that President Trump is not a politician, but is a person who has built his own empires from the ground up, is not a scary fact, but a wonderful blessing.
Nothing in this administration is what it was under the last several. The degree of federal insurgency against the President is insane. Yet, I see wins in the news today, with an ever growing tide of wins against fedzilla evidenced and hinted at in the rumors of tomorrow's headlines.
Something is different. The President has purposefully gone outside the box - to the point of burning the cardboard to ash - and yet we resist the advent of hope from unlikely sources.
We have FReepers insulting each other because of "Q", who is an unknown person that posts cryptic messages that are ambiguously accurate, if viewed through the right filter. I will not pretend to know whether Q is a real source of information, but I will state that Q is a source of emotional sustenance - not fully red meat, but enough protein to suffice in weathering the gathering winds before the storm truly hits. The fact that Q isn't laying out a complete case argues, arcanely, in favor of veracity. If Q knows what is going on, then laying all the cards on the table would despoil the next moves that might be made against the "deep state".
This is a vanity. It is my opinion. But, I wonder if any other FReepers sense that a profound change has already been made, and yet we bicker amongst ourselves in the same absence of hope drilled into us over the last decade.
I trust Donal Trump to faithfully execute the duties of his office, as best he can, with the full knowledge that he will find solutions and compromises that I would have overlooked. He has earned that degree of trust from me over the last couple of years, first campaigning, then with his inauguration speech to We, the People, rather than to the assembled throngs on the Mall in Washington D.C., and further through his steadfast fighting against the quiet coup against not only his Presidency, but against his government "of the people, by the people, and for the people".
I will try to keep up with comments here, but forgive me if I fall behind. Please discuss this rather stark idea, with the idea of deciding whether we, the people, have a fighting chance under President Trump, who I see as a President "for the people".

Yes, it is a profound change.
What an amazing time to be alive and American.
Thank you for posting.
I have not seen anything regarding what you posted. Can you provide context with a pointer to a story or thread? (Given the media’s desire to cover for dems, it may not exist.)
My tagline applies, in spades.
There's plenty of things he could do visibly; or are you insinuating that some real investigation/prosecution of other government improprieties is impossible?
And that's not even touching on things like his support of Civil Asset Forfeiture, which is utterly reprehensible, obvious government theft, and blatant violation of the fifth amendment.
Lol!
Yes, interesting applies!!!
Sessions recused himself from all the Hillary stuff. So he's AWOL on that.
Cmon, now everyone posts in code like this Q character? Return FR back please!
I agree that some things he has said are disagreeable. However, I see too many on this forum who seem to wish we had a fully politicized AG like Obama had - just in the opposite direction.
Thank you for chiming in, and for keeping the debate on a civil level, FRiend.
“Caesar’s wife must be above reproach.”
The AG is *supposed* to be one of the least political positions in the cabinet. The recusal in question is a matter of a political person, who campaigned for the accused individual’s opponent, not allowing hos former activities to be used against the potential pursuit of justice.
Did we conservatives decide that the rule of law - the way it is supposed to be done - no longer applies because of the depravity of the Obama regime?
Without Sessions support of Civil Asset Forfeiture, President Trump’s EO that includes confiscation of assets of traffickers, etc. and those involved with them would not work.
Oh, I don't want a politicized AG — I want one that is deeply concerned with and desirous of Justice…
I see none of this in Sessions; but then, I'm biased (and admit it) because of my own investigations into the Iran Deal which I believe to be Treason.
Thank you for chiming in, and for keeping the debate on a civil level, FRiend.
Oh, you're quite welcome — Thank you for the post, it's good to see different viewpoints, especially when you consider the narrative
that's shoved down our throats.
Thank you for your vanity, your opinion. I agreed with you wholeheartedly.
We seem to have forgotten Rome wasn’t built in a day, our country won’t be righted in a day.
Everyone wants everything instantly. It doesn’t work that way in the real world.
We have been incredibly blessed by this President and his accomplishments of the past year and we don’t see that and can’t give thanks for it.
I still cannot condone it; it is a terrible and reprehensible practice.
I’m in on all of your post and replies.
People want to stick their tongue in their cheek and follow Q that’s fine with me.FR has always had a conspiracy bent. Tired of it dominating the posts though.
Between discussions of fake news and counter-fake news I seldom find a thread I want to participate on these days.
But things change.
regardless if Q is real or not, I think we all know the Memo is very bad for the dems. you can see it in their faces.
I find Q worthy of thought, if not trust at this point. There are things we do not know about happening, and having Q posts to keep us thinking in various directions isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
But I agree that full trust or full disdain, at this point, are equally unwarranted.
The underlying intelligence is even worse. Adam Schiff is daring the Republicans to release it, which tells me he’s making a Hobson’s choice.
I was just pointing out that you were incorrect about the scope of the Sessions' recusal. It's an important point.
About what Sessions has done, he has left us with Deep State Rod Rosenstein in charge on almost all the Deep State criminal stuff.
That's not a good thing.
About what Sessions should do, he should fire Rosenstein and replace him with someone who isn't part of the Deep State, and who is willing to prosecute Deep State crimes.
That's how you carry out the rule of law.
