Something is Different (Vanity)
MortMan | 01/23/2018 | MortMan

Something is different. The Democrats tried to smear the Republicans and President Trump (they are separated for a reason!) with a government shutdown. They failed.

The Democrats' base constituency is now screaming for their scalps. One millennial girl openly called for dems to disavow incrementalism and go for broke - scorched earth politics, when the dems are already losing.

We have a President who knows how to bypass the media and reach millions of individuals, each of which is capable of self-thought, of observing and deciding for themselves. The media is malignantly indignant over being "maligned" as "fake news", when they have been nothing but false prophets for decades.

The current Attorney General is maligned as being AWOL, yet one popular suggested replacement has agreed that the AG had to recuse himself from the egregious Mueller-led probe into "collusion". (Rudy Giuliani). Yet many FReepers have signed onto the idea that an AG who is not visibly active is not active at all - despite the fact that the AG's position, prior to Obama - was one of the quietest positions at the top level in government.

We finally have a non-politician as President. Yet I see so many on this forum that decry the non-politician's way of doing things that I wonder if many of us have yet to fathom the depth of the current we are riding - that the fact that President Trump is not a politician, but is a person who has built his own empires from the ground up, is not a scary fact, but a wonderful blessing.

Nothing in this administration is what it was under the last several. The degree of federal insurgency against the President is insane. Yet, I see wins in the news today, with an ever growing tide of wins against fedzilla evidenced and hinted at in the rumors of tomorrow's headlines.

Something is different. The President has purposefully gone outside the box - to the point of burning the cardboard to ash - and yet we resist the advent of hope from unlikely sources.

We have FReepers insulting each other because of "Q", who is an unknown person that posts cryptic messages that are ambiguously accurate, if viewed through the right filter. I will not pretend to know whether Q is a real source of information, but I will state that Q is a source of emotional sustenance - not fully red meat, but enough protein to suffice in weathering the gathering winds before the storm truly hits. The fact that Q isn't laying out a complete case argues, arcanely, in favor of veracity. If Q knows what is going on, then laying all the cards on the table would despoil the next moves that might be made against the "deep state".

This is a vanity. It is my opinion. But, I wonder if any other FReepers sense that a profound change has already been made, and yet we bicker amongst ourselves in the same absence of hope drilled into us over the last decade.

I trust Donal Trump to faithfully execute the duties of his office, as best he can, with the full knowledge that he will find solutions and compromises that I would have overlooked. He has earned that degree of trust from me over the last couple of years, first campaigning, then with his inauguration speech to We, the People, rather than to the assembled throngs on the Mall in Washington D.C., and further through his steadfast fighting against the quiet coup against not only his Presidency, but against his government "of the people, by the people, and for the people".

I will try to keep up with comments here, but forgive me if I fall behind. Please discuss this rather stark idea, with the idea of deciding whether we, the people, have a fighting chance under President Trump, who I see as a President "for the people".

I cannot disagree with you. I hope that something like this is afoot, but I also know that it will take time to know such things.

I do not hope forlornly, but rather in a stubborn mien that betrays my past history of disappointment in the Republican party. I pray that President Trump is working his deals behind the scenery, undermining the enemies of freedom.

(I’ve had a couple of drinks - it makes me was poetic.)

“But, I wonder if any other FReepers sense that a profound change has already been made, and yet we bicker amongst ourselves in the same absence of hope drilled into us over the last decade.”

To quote the Psalmist; Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

The bickering at FR is nothing new. That’s been the order of the day as long as I’ve been here. But now that you mention it, the sense of despair is much greater. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing so long as it inspires you to do better.

A lot of the folks here and in the “conservative movement” were engaged in soul searching in the 2014 to 2016 time period. It was apparent that politics was being dominated by a sclerotic political establishment, and that there really wasn’t much difference between what the two establishment political parties had to offer. That dawning realization allowed President Trump to be elected.

While it’s wonderful that President Trump was elected and I’m delighted at what he’s doing, I differ from most FReepers and other Trump supporters in that I view his administration as (at best) a temporary reprieve, not a long term victory.

The problems we face in the west are primarily cultural and spiritual. And as a really bright guy remarked a few years back, politics is downstream of culture. If we’re looking to “fix” what ails us, we’re not going to find a lasting fix in politics. That’s a good thing because there is a vast universe of things that we can do to improve the culture and worship God. Compare that to the wasteland of politics where our options are very limited.

See tagline.

Okay, I admit I have been following Qanon. Q refers to Hugh Hefner as a “Clown in America” (CIA)
Here is the rabbit hole fro, Nov 20, 2017, do your own digging... Nov 20 2017 03:10:48

You guys are missing the importance of Hugh Hefner! Think of it this way.
>Hugh invites over celeb/politician
>Hugh offers them “something younger”
>Hugh offers them a “safe space” to do it in
>Hugh tapes encounter
>Sends tape to CIA
>CIA has person by the balls for LIFE.

This is MAJORLY IMPORTANT to what has been keeping people in control for so long!

I am hitting the end of my rope for this evening, FRiends. I traveled to India last week, and I am still suffering from the travel shock of returning.

If I fail to respond before tomorrow, please accept my apologies.

Ignore the bickering. That post was so good if you’re not married let’s talk. Not really, I don’t want to get married. But what an excellent summary of this moment in time politically. Spot on. FReepers (like all groups) bicker. Those of us who see things pretty much as you do won’t be bickering.

We definitely have been cursed to live in interesting times. May Gd guide the People of the United States back to freedom.

I'm thinking that Trump has been playing the long game.

It's been a year. There's been no evidence of Trump/Russian collusion. Meanwhile the Deep State is being exposed by the congressional committees.

This memo when released, could be the turning point. Hopefully Rosenstein will be canned, and the prosecutions will start.

I agree with much of what you said, but I would caution on one point. The government can only be fixed from the inside and outside - together.

Society, including a people’s revolt toward more Godliness, can only affect the selection process for government. It takes a fighter inside the federal ring to clear out detritus to give a Godly people a chance to resurrect the government we once enjoyed.

The despair on FR bothers me. The trolls - many with 2017 sign-on dates - are not the issue. It is the long-time FReepers that automatically assume any negative rumor in the MSM is gospel, and portends the immediate betrayal of all things conservative.

Thank you for chiming in.

I am most definitely married (28.5 wonderful years)!

We have not always agreed on everything, Yaelle. But I have always appreciated your ability to debate without arguing.

Thank you for the compliment.

"The current Attorney General is maligned as being AWOL, yet one popular suggested replacement has agreed that the AG had to recuse himself from the egregious Mueller-led probe into "collusion""

Total bovine scatology.

We had 8 FARKIN YEARS OF WHOLESALE TREASON AND LAWLESSNESS WITH NO JUSTICE...

The first thing that beady-eyed deep-state compromised rat bastard does is recuse himself in the face of a rumor. A hoax of 'russian collusion' conjured up by the corrupt fed govt, Obama and the hillary camp. Sessions rolled over, peed on the carpet and asked his masters how long he should stay on his back.

At the time America needed an AG most...Needed the restoration of the rule of law, Sessions turns belly up.

He makes me sick.

I’ve been here since 98’. FR has unfortunately seriously degraded from a leading edge political forum site, to a site full of wise cracking, back biting, one upping, arm chair quarterbacks.

Reddits, “The Donald” is where serious patriots are now hanging out.

Hefner’s son inherited the secure underground vaults filled with celebrity and politicians on film sharing wayyyyyy too much of their peccadillos.

Read the whole thing and the comments. Hell yeah, Hef was CIA. Perfect setup. This whole blind item curled my hair better than a curling iron.

Are you sure you understand the ethics rules that have long been in place for attorneys general?

You know - the ones thrown out the 185th floor window by Obama’s AGs?

Even Rudy Giuliani agrees Sessions had no choice but to recuse.

Thanks for the reply.

Given that we had unlimited time and resources, political involvement might make some sense The problem is, we have neither unlimited time nor unlimited resources. Christians are in the minority in the west, and soon to be a minority in the US. Triage is the order of the day.
